Biseduam mbi projektet e përbashkëta dhe mbështetjen e vazhdueshme të Shqipërisë për Preshevën dhe shqiptarët në #Luginë, si pjesë e angazhimit tonë të pandërprerë për forcimin e lidhjeve mes shqiptarëve kudo që jetojnë dhe për krijimin e më shumë mundësive për zhvillim, arsim, kulturë dhe mirëqenie. Nënvizova se bashkëpunimi, solidariteti dhe fryma vëllazërore e besimit mes nesh janë vlera të çmuara që nuk mund dhe nuk duhet të cenohen nga askush, aq më pak nga ata që kërkojnë të shfrytëzojnë çdo mundësi për të nxitur ndasi e përçarje. Uniteti dhe solidariteti mes shqiptarëve kudo që jetojnë janë investimi më i mirë për paqen, sigurinë, zhvillimin dhe të ardhmen evropiane të rajonit tonë. #Shqipëria do të vijojë të jetë pranë shqiptarëve të Luginës së Preshevës, duke mbështetur përpjekjet e tyre legjitime për ruajtjen dhe afirmimin e identitetit kombëtar, zhvillimin ekonomik dhe social, si dhe respektimin e plotë të të drejtave dhe lirive të tyre, në përputhje me standardet evropiane dhe vlerat e fqinjësisë së mirë.

Pata kënaqësinë të zhvilloj sot një takim shumë të këndshëm me të rinjtë e #Akademisë Politike të #Bashkimit Demokratik për Integrim, në një atmosferë të hapur dhe me një shkëmbim të gjallë mendimesh mbi zhvillimet politike në Maqedoninë e Veriut, në rajon dhe më gjerë. 🇦🇱🇲🇰 Diskutuam mbi rëndësinë e veçantë që kanë marrëdhëniet mes dy vendeve tona, të cilat përbëjnë një shembull të shkëlqyer të fqinjësisë së mirë, partneritetit strategjik dhe bashkëpunimit të ngushtë. Këto marrëdhënie marrin një peshë të veçantë edhe për faktin se shqiptarët në #Maqedoninë e Veriut përbëjnë një faktor me rol jetik në shtetformimin, stabilitetin, zhvillimin demokratik dhe procesin e integrimit evropian të vendit. Theksova, ndër të tjera, rëndësinë themelore të ruajtjes së frymës dhe zbatimit të plotë të Marrëveshjes së #Ohrit, si gurthemeli i bashkëjetesës ndëretnike dhe i karakterit multietnik të Maqedonisë së Veriut. Në këtë kuadër, nënvizova domosdoshmërinë e ruajtjes, respektimit dhe avancimit të të gjitha të drejtave dhe arritjeve të garantuara nga #Kushtetuta dhe legjislacioni i vendit, në përputhje me parimet demokratike dhe standardet evropiane, si një element thelbësor për forcimin e kohezionit të brendshëm dhe përparimin e mëtejshëm të vendit në rrugëtimin e tij evropian. Bashkëbisedimi preku gjithashtu zhvillimet në #Kosovë dhe në rajon, në frymën e një dialogu të hapur, konstruktiv dhe me vëmendje të veçantë ndaj sfidave të përbashkëta dhe perspektivës evropiane të rajonit tonë. Në këtë kuadër, theksova se lidhja e pazgjidhshme e shqiptarëve kudo ku jetojnë dhe angazhimi i tyre i qëndrueshëm dhe mbështetja e vazhdueshme në favor të integrimit #evropian dhe #euroatlantik përbëjnë një investim madhor në shërbim të paqes, stabilitetit, zhvillimit dhe prosperitetit të të gjithë rajonit. Vlerësova nivelin e lartë të pjekurisë në gjykim dhe të kulturës politike që këta të rinj dëshmojnë në trajtimin e çështjeve që lidhen jo vetëm me zhvillimet në Maqedoninë e Veriut, por edhe me dinamikat rajonale dhe ndërkombëtare, dhe bindjen se e ardhmja e rajonit tonë është e lidhur pazgjidhshmërisht me Evropën, me demokracinë dhe me vlerat e bashkëpunimit e të mirëkuptimit mes popujve.

Gjatë Samitit BE–Moldavi, Presidenti i Këshillit Evropian, @eucopresident, vlerësoi ritmin e negociatave të anëtarësimit të Shqipërisë në Bashkimin Evropian dhe rikujtoi objektivin tonë, të mbështetur edhe nga Komisioni Evropian, për mbylljen e tyre brenda vitit 2027. Një tjetër dëshmi se #Shqipëria sot perceptohet si histori suksesi në procesit të zgjerimit të BE-së në rajon. Asgjë nuk është e lehtë; asgjë nuk është dhuratë dhe asgjë nuk është automatike në procesin e integrimit europian. Çdo hap përpara fitohet përmes reformave të thella, vendimmarrjes së guximshme, përkushtimit të vazhdueshëm dhe konsistencës së palëkundur në zbatimin e tyre. Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming the new Ambassador of North Macedonia to Albania, H.E. Vele Trpevski. 🇦🇱🇲🇰 For #Albania, North #Macedonia is much more than a neighbor and friend. It is a valued #NATO Ally and a close regional partner with whom we share a common vision for peace, stability and prosperity in the Western Balkans. We reaffirmed the excellent and longstanding relations between our two countries and underscored the strategic importance of the #European accession of both our countries and of the entire region, as the best investment in the stability, security and future of the Western Balkans. I underscored that the full respect and consistent implementation of the Law on the Use of #Languages is not only a matter of constitutional order and equality, but also a key pillar of North Macedonia’s European path, reflecting the country’s commitment to democratic standards, inclusiveness, and the values upon which the European Union is built. We also agreed to further strengthen our political dialogue at all levels and to deepen our cooperation across all areas of mutual interest. Special emphasis was placed on the crucial importance of advancing #Corridor VIII, a strategic infrastructure project for connectivity, economic growth, and regional development, which will further bring our countries and peoples closer together and reinforce the European perspective of the entire region.

The @Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs organized, over the week-end, a dedicated visit for #ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Albania, to Shkodër, Tamarë, Lepushë, Razëm and Lezhë, offering them the opportunity to discover first-hand the magic of northern #Albania, the rare beauty of the Albanian #Alps, and the extraordinary potential these regions offer for sustainable development and mountain tourism. Diplomatic representatives had the opportunity to experience the spectacular landscapes, alpine meadows, rich history, traditions and renowned hospitality of #Malësia e Madhe, #Shkodër and #Lezhë, regions that embody a unique blend of nature, culture and human heritage. They also discovered the remarkable cultural wealth of these areas, including folklore, music, traditional dances, craftsmanship, and the grace and elegance of traditional costumes, which remain among the most authentic expressions of Albanian identity and creative spirit. The visit also provided an opportunity to appreciate the efforts of local authorities and communities in promoting a model of development that respects the #environment, preserves #cultural identity, and creates new economic opportunities for local residents. At a time when Albania is increasingly establishing itself as a year-round tourist destination, special attention to mountainous regions becomes ever more important. With its extraordinary natural and human assets, the north of the country stands as an outstanding example of the potential of sustainable tourism to foster local development while harmonizing tradition with modernity. Ishte një kënaqësi e veçantë që, përgjatë kësaj fundjave, #Ministria për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme organizoi një vizitë të dedikuar për #ambasadorët e akredituar në Republikën e Shqipërisë, në Shkodër, Tamarë, Lepushë, Razëm dhe Lezhë, për t’u dhënë mundësinë të zbulojnë nga afër magjinë e veriut shqiptar, bukurinë e rrallë të #Alpeve dhe potencialin e jashtëzakonshëm që këto zona ofrojnë për zhvillimin e qëndrueshëm dhe turizmin malor. Përfaqësuesit diplomatikë patën mundësinë të njihen me peizazhet spektakolare, livadhet alpine, historinë, traditat dhe mikpritjen karakteristike të #Malësisë së Madhe, #Shkodrës dhe #Lezhës, rajone që mishërojnë një ndërthurje unike të natyrës, kulturës dhe trashëgimisë njerëzore. Reagim i Ministrisë për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme: Ministria për Evropën dhe Punët e Jashtme e Republikës së Shqipërisë dënon me forcë heqjen dhe përdhosjen e flamurit të Ambasadës së Shtetit të Izraelit në Tiranë nga protestues të maskuar gjatë protestës së mbrëmshme. Veprime të tilla nuk kanë asnjë lidhje me lirinë e shprehjes, të drejtën legjitime për protestë paqësore apo me vlerat tona demokratike dhe standardet evropiane që kemi ndërtuar dhe po forcojmë çdo ditë. Ato janë shfaqje të urrejtjes, intolerancës dhe nxitjes së saj, dhe janë krejtësisht të papajtueshme me parimet e respektit dhe bashkëjetesës që Shqipëria i ka në themel dhe i çmon me përkushtim. Ky akt i turpshëm bie ndesh me traditën e gjatë shqiptare të mikpritjes, harmonisë dhe respektit për tjetrin, vlera që kanë karakterizuar shoqërinë tonë për breza me radhë. Ato nuk përfaqësojnë as Shqipërinë, as popullin shqiptar. Përfaqësojnë vetëm ata që kërkojnë të provokojnë, të përçajnë dhe të përhapin urrejtje, duke shpërdoruar dhe keqpërdorur në mënyrë të qëllimshme të drejtat dhe liritë. Such acts have nothing to do with freedom of expression, the legitimate right to peaceful protest, or with our democratic values and European standards, which we have built and continue to strengthen every day. They are manifestations of hatred, intolerance, and incitement, and are entirely incompatible with the principles of respect and coexistence that Albania is founded upon and firmly upholds. This shameful act stands in contrast to the long-standing Albanian tradition of hospitality, harmony, and respect for others, values that have characterized our society for generations. They do not represent Albania, nor the Albanian people. They represent only those who seek to provoke, divide, and spread hatred, while deliberately abusing and misusing rights and freedoms. The Ministry reiterates Albania’s unwavering commitment to the protection of diplomatic missions and their symbols, in full accordance with international law and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. We express our solidarity with the Embassy of the State of Israel and underline that violence, intimidation, and hate speech cannot and will not have a place in a democratic society.

On this day in 1991, Albania became a participating State of the CSCE, marking an important step in our country’s democratic transition and international engagement. Over the past 35 years, Albania has remained committed to the OSCE’s comprehensive approach to security, where lasting peace and stability rest on the politico-military, economic and environmental, and human dimensions, alongside respect for human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. It was a pleasure to receive H.E. Mohsen Alajmi, the new Ambassador of the State of #Kuwait to Albania, for a courtesy meeting. 🇦🇱🇰🇼 We reaffirmed the strong partnership between our two countries, built on longstanding friendship and a shared commitment to further expanding cooperation. In particular, we discussed opportunities to deepen ties in investment, energy, tourism, and trade. In this context, I recalled with appreciation the important contribution of the Kuwait #Fund for Arab Economic Development in financing key infrastructure projects that have supported Albania’s development. I wished #Ambassador Alajmi every success in his mission and conveyed #Albania’s readiness to work closely together to further strengthen the excellent relations between our two countries.

📢Great News: #Albania has just been elected as a member of UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the #Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). This election is a recognition of #Albania’s active contribution within #UNESCO as well as of our longstanding commitment to protecting, promoting, and transmitting our rich cultural heritage to future generations. Albania is proud to have several elements inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, including Albanian Iso-#Polyphony, the traditional craftsmanship and use of #Xhubleta, #K'cimi dancing of Tropojë, and the #Transhumance seasonal pastoral movement, among other. We extend our sincere gratitude to all UNESCO Member States for their trust and support. We look forward to working closely with all partners in advancing the safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage as a source of identity, diversity, dialogue, and sustainable development. Following its endorsement by the #AFET Committee in May, the European Parliament @Europarl_EN adopted today the EU accession #progress report on Albania with an overwhelming majority. 🇦🇱🇪🇺 With 483 votes in favour out of 656 Members voting, representing nearly 74% support, the Parliament has once again reaffirmed its strong backing for #Albania’s EU accession path and recognised the substantial progress our country has achieved across key reform areas. This is yet another important vote of confidence in Albania’s European future and in the transformation driven by years of determined reforms and hard work. The message is clear: Albania’s European journey is advancing, our reform efforts are producing tangible results, and our objective of joining the European Union is both realistic and within reach. Our sincere thanks go to the European Parliament, to Rapporteur @SCHIEDER, and to all those who continue to champion a credible, fair, and merit-based enlargement process. Of course, much work still lies ahead. That is precisely the purpose of the accession negotiations: to continue delivering the reforms necessary to meet the standards of membership and ensure lasting transformation. We remain fully committed to maintaining the current momentum, accelerating reforms, concluding accession negotiations by 2027, and achieving full EU membership by 2030. #Horizon2030 🇪🇺

🟢Parlamenti Europian miraton raportin për Shqipërinë me 483 vota PRO✅ Rezultati 🗳️Të pranishëm/votuan: 656 eurodeputetë. ✅️Pro: 483 🔴Kundër: 103 🟠Abstenim: 70 Rezoluta e Parlamentit Europian mbi raportin e progresit të Shqipërisë u miratua me rreth 74% të votave. Miratimi i Raportit të Progresit për Shqipërinë do të thotë që institucionet e Bashkimit Europian vlerësojnë zyrtarisht ecurinë e vendit në procesin e anëtarësimit dhe njohin përparimin e bërë në reformat kyçe.

Ishte kënaqësi të merrja pjesë në aktivitetin kushtuar 40-vjetorit të rivendosjes së marrëdhënieve diplomatike ndërmjet Shqipërisë dhe Spanjës. Siç shkruante poeti i madh spanjoll, Antonio Machado, “Se hace camino al andar” – rruga krijohet duke ecur. Gjatë katër dekadave të fundit, vendet tona e kanë ndërtuar këtë rrugë së bashku, hap pas hapi, përmes miqësisë, respektit të ndërsjellë, solidaritetit dhe, gjatë 35 viteve të fundit, përkushtimit të palëkundur ndaj vlerave tona të përbashkëta europiane. Kur marrëdhëniet diplomatike u rivendosën, në vitin 1986, Shqipëria ishte ende e izoluar pas Perdes së Hekurt, ndërsa Spanja po konsolidonte tranzicionin e saj të jashtëzakonshëm demokratik dhe të ardhmen europiane. Pak kush mund ta kishte imagjinuar atëherë se sa thellësisht do të ndryshonin kontinenti ynë dhe dy vendet tona. 📍Luxembourg -- A brief but very productive exchange with State Minister for European Affairs at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, Günter Krichbaum, focussed on Albania’s EU accession path and the current dynamics of EU enlargement. We discussed the opportunities created by the renewed momentum behind #enlargement and agreed on the importance of preserving a credible, merit-based process, complemented by concrete and targeted steps towards #gradual integration that bring candidate countries closer to the European Union as they advance on reforms. I expressed my sincere appreciation for #Germany’s steadfast support for EU enlargement and for Albania’s EU accession. 📍Luxembourg -- A very productive meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen. 🇦🇱🇩🇰 We discussed ways to further strengthen our bilateral relations and unlock new opportunities for cooperation in areas of mutual interest. We also exchanged views on the future of EU enlargement, reaffirming the importance of a credible, merit-based process that strengthens both candidate countries and the European Union itself. In this context, I expressed our gratitude for #Denmark’s continued support for #Albania’s EU accession path and for the European perspective of the entire region, as well as for its strong leadership during its Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2025. We discussed the current dynamics in the #WesternBalkans and agreed that regional cooperation remains essential for stability, prosperity, and European integration. I extended an invitation to my colleague to visit #Albania at his earliest convenience, also to celebrate the opening of the Danish #Embassy in Tirana, a milestone that reflects the growing strength of our bilateral partnership.

📍Luxembourg -- Pleased to join today’s breakfast meeting with the Ministers for European Affairs of the European Union, in the margins of the General Affairs Council, to discuss cooperation within the framework of the #democracyShield initiative. As democratic societies face growing challenges from disinformation, foreign information manipulation and interference, and hybrid threats, strengthening our collective resilience has never been more important. #Albania welcomes the opening of key European resilience mechanisms to candidate countries, also as part of the gradual integration, and remains committed to working closely with our European partners to safeguard democratic institutions, public trust, and the integrity of our information space. In today's world, facts remain democracy's first line of defence. A healthy society needs informed citizens, #free, #independent and #ethical media, participatory civil society, and public trust in democratic institutions. Without the citizens and the entire society properly equipped and empowered to recognise and resist to manipulation, malicious interference, carefully distilled in the wilderness of the #SocialMedia, risks erode public trust and destroy the social fabric. Protecting #democracy is a shared responsibility.
