Oh FFS. 🙄 Mila, “abortions until the minute of birth” is an emotional slogan, not what the law says. The Massachusetts legislation concerns abortions after 24 weeks and puts the decision in the professional medical judgment of a physician, rather than limiting doctors to four rigid statutory categories. The Massachusetts House itself described the purpose as allowing physicians to provide medically necessary care when complicated pregnancies don't fit neatly into those categories. And here's the part these rage-bait posts always conveniently leave out: Massachusetts law separately requires facilities performing later abortions to have life-supporting equipment and directs physicians to take appropriate steps, consistent with good medical practice, to preserve the life and health of a live birth. So no, women aren't carrying pregnancies for nine months and strolling into a clinic during contractions because they suddenly changed their minds. These are extraordinarily serious medical situations involving actual patients, physicians and often devastating diagnoses. What's vile is turning somebody's medical catastrophe into a dishonest little “minute before birth” meme because the truth isn't inflammatory enough to go viral.

So Trump and the White House lied about which plane Trump was on flying out of Turkey, setting up journalists who thought they were on the same plane as the president to possibly be the target of an Iranian attack while he secretly departed on a different one. Words fail. wapo.st/4i1OByh

A truly WILD story. This appears to be the order of operations: 1. Trump flies to Turkey on the new Qatari-gifted Air Force One for the NATO summit. 2. An Iranian assassination threat triggers a secret “deception operation.” Security officials devise a plan to conceal which aircraft Trump is actually traveling on. 3. The Qatari-gifted Air Force One leaves Turkey first, without Trump. 4. Trump publicly boards the legacy Air Force One in Ankara, walking up the stairs and waving for cameras, creating the appearance that this is his plane home. 5. Trump secretly exits Air Force One through the other side of the aircraft and gets into an airport catering truck raised to the plane’s door. 6. The catering truck drives Trump to a smaller Air Force C-32A, a modified Boeing 757 parked nearby. 7.. Trump secretly boards the C-32A. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also boards separately. 8. Reporters and some White House staff board the legacy Air Force One, apparently unaware Trump is no longer aboard. They are instructed to close their window shades. (Remember all that reporting from the time?) 9. The legacy Air Force One takes off as a decoy and eventually uses the “AF1” call sign despite Trump not being aboard. 10. Trump’s actual C-32A flies secretly to Britain under the nondescript call sign “Reach 18,” with its normal flight-tracking systems reportedly switched off. 11. Trump arrives at RAF Mildenhall in Britain on the C-32A, shortly before the decoy Air Force One arrives. 12. Trump somehow transfers back onto the legacy Air Force One after landing. The Post says exactly how this transfer occurred remains unclear. 13. Trump then emerges from the legacy Air Force One in front of cameras, making it appear as though that was the aircraft he had flown from Turkey. 14. Trump boards the Qatari-gifted Air Force One in Britain and finally flies back to Washington with the press and staff. P.S. Remember when Trump told the reporters on the plane, "I go, you go," in regard to the plane being targeted? It actually seems Trump left and endangered the lives of everyone on board.

Here is the part Trump seems unable to grasp: the White House is not one of his properties. Trump insisted on having a helipad at the White House. Now, after weeks of construction, crews are ripping apart his brand-new $5 million helipad because he decided he doesn’t like the slope. He demolished the East Wing for his ballroom and is now fighting over whether he had the authority to do it after the fact. He rushed through millions in no-bid work on the Reflecting Pool, only for it to start peeling and growing algae within weeks. Now the South Lawn gets its turn. This is beyond embarrassing and it’s an astonishing display of arrogance. He does not own the building. He does not own the lawn. He does not own our nation’s monuments. And he does not get to bulldoze, rebuild, or remake them whenever another grand idea pops into his head. There is a reason a President does not have unchecked control over the country’s property. It belongs to the American people. If Trump is desperate for something to demolish, rebuild, gild, or redo because it does not suit his tastes, he should start with Mar-A-Lago or other properties he actually owns. Trump is a coward for using his fake Qatari AF1 jet filled with Americans to be a decoy appearing to have him on board, while he flew safely from Turkey to the UK on a military plane. He endangered their lives to protect himself. It was his incompetence that lost the war to Iran and his corruption that got the Qatari jet in the first place.
