The Economist had 90 minutes with an individual shaping the future of our country and the world. This interview is a clear example of how trust in legacy media is broken. People want the opportunity to learn more about one another—not more division and polarization. When given the chance to ask about giving the blind a chance to see, advancing humanity through space travel, or providing the disabled the ability to drive a car, the reporter chose clickbait questions meant to drive engagement rather than understand her subject. Elon did an excellent job answering her questions and explaining his core values while making her look like a fool.
