Instead of simply installing infrastructure and handing it over… It is increasingly owning the hardware itself — and renting that infrastructure back through as-a-service contracts. That shift is visible in one number: Fixed assets jumped from ₹9 Cr to ₹158 Cr in FY26. 🏭 𝗧𝗛𝗘 ₹𝟲𝟱 𝗖𝗥 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗫 🔹 ₹65 Cr of cash went into assets during FY26 🔹 Fixed assets jumped from ₹9 Cr to ₹158 Cr 🔹 ₹90 Cr represents equipment taken on lease 🔹 ₹48 Cr represents software platforms 🔹 ₹20 Cr represents owned equipment 🔹 Capex is supporting Devices-as-a-Service and Core Banking-as-a-Service contracts 🔹 Depreciation increased from ₹2 Cr to ₹15 Cr as assets came on stream Dynacons integrates data centres, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity for banks, PSUs and large enterprises. But the business model is evolving. Under the as-a-service model, Dynacons owns the infrastructure and charges customers a recurring fee. That potentially shifts revenue from one-off projects toward longer-duration contracts. The order book currently stands at around ₹3,104 Cr, with a bidding pipeline of roughly ₹6,650 Cr. 📈 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 The transformation isn't limited to owning hardware. The company has expanded into: 🔹 Private cloud — ₹750 Cr mandate from the Reserve Bank of India 🔹 Data centre augmentation — ₹267 Cr from NPCI 🔹 AI-ready infrastructure & containerisation — ₹125 Cr from Central Bank of India 🔹 Core Banking-as-a-Service for cooperative and rural banks It also won a ₹75 Cr Devices-as-a-Service contract from J&K Bank during FY26. 💰 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗫 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗗 FY24: <₹1 Cr spent FY25: ₹5 Cr spent + ₹24 Cr in unfinished projects FY26: ₹65 Cr spent That is more than the company spent on assets across the previous decade put together. But the expansion has also increased leverage. Borrowings rose from ₹139 Cr to ₹237 Cr. Interest expense doubled to ₹26 Cr. Management says the as-a-service business has expanded over the last two years, with lease costs increasing alongside it. 🎯 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧'𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧? At same time - The capex funding for different phases will need to be sorted via - Equity Debt Subsidies - could be upto 200 Cr Internal acrruals Note on subsidy: The Maxvolt project is supported under the Uttar Pradesh Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022. I found an interesting “speciality chemical” story. It is a B2B composites-materials company built around Unsaturated Polyester Resins (UPR)—the binding material used in FRP products—along with fibre reinforcements, hardeners, pigments, silicones and other industrial inputs. The company is Amtech Esters. That gives it exposure to construction, infrastructure, automotive, marine, moulding, waterproofing and fabrication. FY26 revenue was ₹40.7 crore, of which UPR itself contributed 62.8%. The next growth lever is visible: • Existing resin capacity: 2,960 MTPA • New Asoda unit: 4,800 MTPA • Potential combined capacity: 7,760 MTPA So this is a capacity-utilisation story, not merely a demand story. 👀 The IPO proceeds are aimed at Croda Pigments’ capex and working capital, debt reduction and potential inorganic growth—expanding the group’s product basket beyond just resin. But the risk is equally important. UPR is raw-material-sensitive. The company works on purchase orders, has no long-term customer contracts, and its top 10 customers accounted for ~41% of FY26 revenue. The real monitorables are simple: Can the new capacity ramp without hurting pricing? Can custom grades and cross-selling improve mix? Can margins hold when raw-material prices move? If yes, Amtech can evolve from a small regional resin supplier into a broader FRP-input platform. 🔍
