For more than 25 years, I thought I was teaching basketball. Looking back, I think I was really learning something much bigger. I just didn’t have a name for it. Today I do. I call it Belief Before Proof. What if we’ve been taught leadership backwards? Most people believe you have to prove yourself first… Then people will believe in you. I don’t think that’s how great leaders, great coaches, great parents, or great organizations actually work. The greatest leaders I’ve ever been around did something different. They believed in people before those people had earned it. A coach recruits an athlete before they’ve played a game. A company hires an employee before they’ve produced a result. Parents believe in their children long before they’ve accomplished anything. Every meaningful relationship begins with someone taking a risk on someone else. That’s not blind faith. That’s leadership. Over the last 3 decades, I kept seeing the same pattern repeat itself. The leaders who built the strongest cultures weren’t simply better strategists. They created environments where people genuinely felt believed in. And when people know someone believes in them, something changes. They work harder. They stay longer. They become more committed. Belief isn’t the reward for commitment. Belief is often what creates commitment. That realization has changed the way I think about leadership, business, sports, and relationships. Over the coming weeks and months, I’ll be sharing the principles behind Belief Before Proof, the stories that shaped it, and why I believe this way of thinking can help leaders build stronger teams, stronger cultures, and stronger relationships. This isn’t just a philosophy. It’s a different way of leading. Welcome to Belief Before Proof. One question… Who believed in you before you had proof they should?

Physio ball is a great tool to use in the post. Allows players to start to feel where the weight is and how to spin off. In season drill. 60 seconds or less you need 6 buckets. Touch half court and then into the spot. @Alyto25
