How does RealFi @realfi_co actually work? (simple breakdown) 👇 Most popular stablecoins are backed mainly by Treasuries. USDr does it differently with two layers: 🛡️ A) Safe/low-risk buffer (U.S. Treasuries + government money market funds) → keeps the 1:1 peg rock solid and supports easy redemptions. 📈 B) Higher-yielding part (private credit, direct lending, floating-rate bonds, etc.) → this generates the returns. Here's the flow: 🔹 You swap USDC (or other stables) for USDr → you get a stablecoin and your capital goes into the RealFi reserve. 🔹 Then you can stake USDr to get sUSDr (unstake anytime, no lockup). 🔹 sUSDr earns yield (~8% projected on testnet) from the real-world investments. Honestly, this looks like a serious proposal from @alphagrowth1. Cardano does need external liquidity and real DeFi growth efforts. I like the oversight group made up of respected individuals, and Intersect acting as the administrator and custody layer. The unused fund triggers are also a positive. However, the value/risk ratio is hard to judge, as success depends heavily on AlphaGrowth's execution. Their Compound (Arbitrum) case study highlights retention, utilization, and sticky capital as the real indicators of success. Why then is the PRIME performance fee primarily tied to TVL growth? The retention/organic metrics are reported but not directly tied to the payout. I also believe AlphaGrowth's marketing allocation ($2.4M / 12.5% of the total budget) is relatively low for a growth-focused program. What do you think? It seems yesterday's big sell-off in Cardano tokens was largely driven by liquidations on @surfcardano. Many users were heavily leveraged: ➡️ Deposit $STRIKE as collateral ➡️ Borrow $ADA ➡️ Buy more $STRIKE ➡️ Repeat (loop) When prices dipped, health factors collapsed, triggering a cascade of liquidations. Surf sold the collateral into the market, adding further selling pressure. This is a good example of DeFi on relatively thin liquidity. CNT markets are smaller and less liquid, so leveraged positions can amplify volatility and create rapid liquidation cascades. A healthy shakeout of excess leverage.
