Romania, together with EU Member States and NATO Allies, strongly condemns the Russian Federation’s hostile cyber activities conducted by FSB-controlled groups, including APT TURLA. These malicious cyber operations are part of Russia’s broader hybrid campaign aimed at undermining security, stability and democratic resilience across the Euro-Atlantic area. Am participat la reuniunea Coaliției de Voință, găzduită la Paris de președintele Republicii Franceze, Emmanuel Macron. Discuțiile dintre membrii Coaliției au reconfirmat motivele pentru care Europa și partenerii noștri, care împărtășesc aceleași valori, trebuie să rămână implicați în construirea unui cadru solid de garanții de securitate pentru Ucraina. Pe măsură ce avansăm cu acțiuni concrete și o planificare coordonată, eforturile noastre comune trebuie să rămână concentrate asupra obținerii încetării focului și, în cele din urmă, a unei păci juste, durabile și sustenabile. România va continua să acționeze ca un aliat responsabil și un partener de încredere în sprijinul acestui obiectiv. Prioritatea noastră imediată rămâne asigurarea libertății de navigație și protejarea rutelor comerciale din Marea Neagră. Investiția în apărarea și securitatea Ucrainei este o investiție în propria noastră securitate, iar Ucraina trebuie să fie capabilă să negocieze pacea dintr-o poziție de forță. Totodatǎ, am pledat ca de fiecare datä, și pentru acordarea unei atenții specifice securitǎții Republicii Moldova. În acest sens, mä bucurǎ participarea în premierǎ și aderarea începând de azi a Republicii Moldova la reuniunea Coalitiei pentru Voințǎ.

Before the EU-GCC High-Level Forum on Regional Security and Cooperation today in Brussels, we shared our priorities in a bilateral RO-UAE meeting, happy to see again Minister of State Lana Nusseibeh of the UAE. Conversations focused on: * Economic ties and port infrastructure, investments and know-how as Romania plans to expand Port of Constanța as a key gateway from and to Europe and South Caucus and Middle East * Expanding cooperation across key sectors and multilateral formats * Security situation in the Middle East and at the Black Sea * As EU and UAE are advancing on the Free Trade Agreement we discussed a plan for bilateral consultations with an economic focus this year * RO-UAE Ministries of Foreign Affairs have more than a decade of MoU on political consultations and we are exploring trilateral formats as well @mofauae

At the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels today: •Black Sea: Pushing for the EU Maritime Security Hub in Constanța-Varna. Romania, Bulgaria, and Türkiye are extending MCM Black Sea demining efforts to cover critical energy infrastructure and undersea cables. [1] •Ukraine: Supporting resilience via high-voltage grid connections, reinforcing sanctions, and advancing the Odesa triangle. Romania will host an MFA connectivity meeting this autumn. •Middle East: Supporting the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the two-state solution during engagements with GCC partners. [1] •Sanctions: Shared our first listing proposal addressing cyberattacks targeting Romania.

On the 10th anniversary of the South China Sea Arbitral Tribunal Award, Romania joins its partners in issuing a Joint Statement reaffirming its unwavering commitment to international law, including the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and to a free, open, peaceful, stable, and rules-based Indo-Pacific. We deeply regret the passing of Senator Lindsey Graham, a respected voice in the US Congress and in the international arena. Senator Graham was a dedicated Transatlanticist and a relentless advocate for the need to consolidate NATO’s Eastern Flank. He was a friend of Romania on the Hill and at each conversation I was impressed by his commitment and his conviction that US security is deeply connected to that of America’s Allies’. We join his family and the American people in mourning him. His legacy will endure, including on unwaveringly supporting Ukraine and toughening the sanctions against Russia.

Romania–United States Friendship Day is celebrated annually on July 11, a good day to announce my upcoming trip to Washington next week as a follow-up to the NATO Summit and bilateral talks in Bucharest, focused on security, economy and RO-US social security agreement that goes into force 1st of september this year. 11th of July was chosen as a date to honor the anniversary of the historic visit of the American president to Bucharest in July 1997, an event that laid the foundation for the establishment of the Romania - U.S. Strategic Partnership. This occasion celebrates the diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between the two countries. It is both a celebration of more than two centuries of people to people ties and ongoing dialogue. In the year when the United States celebrates 250 years of independence, this bond is even more significant, highlighting how democracy and fundamental freedoms create a shared vision of how we can build more on the Strategic Partnership, inside NATO and within the region to better ensure security and economic growth and good jobs, key obiectives we share for our nations.

Today we celebrate the day dedicated to Romanian-American Friendship. This is a special occasion to highlight the truly unique value of our Strategic Partnership, and to reflect on the strength of our vibrant relationship and the opportunities we can create together as Allies, partners, and close friends.
