This is a MASSIVE shift from where the process started. The Charter Commission originally wasn’t going to consider ANY police reforms. But community groups made sure Angelenos’ voices were listened to so we can build a safer city.

NYC is facing a housing crisis. Now, proposed legislation advanced by Airbnb would make it worse by turning our homes into hotels, driving up rents & gutting housing protections. Housing should be for us, not for generating windfall profits for Airbnb. Reject Airbnb & its bill.

We introduced a motion to LIMIT LAPD using projectiles at protests and to join most major cities like NYC and Boston in utilizing a “graded response” model during protests where heavily armed officers are kept in reserve and only used if the situation escalates to violence.
