Since the beginning of the ceasefire, more than 18,000 tons of medicines and medical supplies have entered the Gaza Strip, supporting the ongoing medical response for Gaza’s civilian population. Medical capacity in Gaza continues to expand. According to WHO data cited in the report, hospital bed capacity increased by more than 50 percent since the ceasefire, from 2,009 beds in October 2025 to 3,120 beds in May 2026. COGAT continues to coordinate with international partners to facilitate the entry of medicines, medical supplies, advanced medical equipment, expansion and opening of new medical facilities and practical medical solutions, while ensuring that sensitive materials are not exploited by Hamas.
