GOOD NEWS 🇩🇪 Germany is actively considering whether to recognize the provisional EU type approval nationally before the EU-wide TCMV process is completed 🔥 In a new response, Germany’s Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) explicitly says it is currently examining both routes available under Article 39 of Regulation (EU) 2018/858. The first is the normal EU-wide route: the European Commission submits an implementing act, which then goes to a vote in the TCMV. But KBA also specifically highlights Article 39(5) — which allows another EU Member State to accept a provisional EU type approval on its own territory even before that TCMV vote takes place. And the key line from KBA is clear: “Both possibilities are currently being examined by the KBA.” That does not mean Germany has decided to recognize Tesla FSD yet. But it confirms that Germany is actively evaluating the faster national-recognition route rather than simply waiting for the EU-wide process to finish 🔥

As a reminder, the Terafab project was formally announced in March this year and initial ground breaking & clearing began only about 1 month ago! Terafab, once completed, will be about the size of 10 Giga Texas factories ... this is a gigantic construction project and the speed so far is quite impressive.
