Ultra Ring has released a new preview build of Sonic XG, marking the project's first public release in nearly 19 years. This long standing fangame played a pivotal role in the creation of the Retro Engine by Christian Whitehead, aswell as paved the future for Sonic Mania later down the line in 2017. Built using the team's new Harmony Framework, the preview features Final Fall Zone in Time Attack mode with Sonic being playable. The release serves as a public beta ahead of Demo 1, which is planned to include three Zones and playable Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. #SonicNews
