Religion has really led some people astray around sexuality-related topics. We’ve grown up steeped in what “the Bible says.” Meanwhile what we’re saying “the Bible says” was added later and/or is a poor interpretation of what the Bible actually says.
A cool thing about being deeply loved by God is that you can learn how to acknowledge harm you've done, and humbly work to repair it, without veering into a shame spiral or needing to defensively protect the ego. Because even when you've done real wrong, you're still loved & safe
