This is in addition to the 8 meetings in 2022 where Gensler and/or his Counsel met with roughly the SAME group of high level FINRA executives. (6 of these meetings can be found on his public calendar, 2 of which I located elsewhere) Now in the hearing, Crapo is asking Gensler about whether the SEC is examining FINRA regarding their adherence to their Rules, as they relate to how they handled MMTLP. Gensler avoided answering the questions directly and instead says that the SEC both examines them regularly, and annually (he thinks). But if he had nothing to hide, why wouldn't he bring up the numerous meetings that he himself and his counsel have been having with FINRA since shortly after MMTLP became tradeable on the OTC? @palikaras @johnbrda

In case the #MMTLP community has forgotten, Byron Donalds is not fit to be governor of Florida. He simply does not follow through. He doesn’t show up to voting Congress. He doesn’t talk about eliminating property tax (like .@Paul_Renner does) in Florida. 🏁The landscape has tilted sharply AGAINST retail investors and corporate issuers. The market is moving (has moved) to nanoseconds... 1000× faster than microseconds... please read this key article: risk.net/insight/techno… Extract: "For exchanges with deterministic behaviours, low-latency devices can significantly impact trade outcomes. Market-makers benefit greatly, as their role necessitates swift participation to manage risk effectively. Thus, they tend to be early adopters of such products. Beyond market-makers, a whole host of other traders can benefit from extreme low-latency electronic trading." I have already written a few articles on how this matters, dating back to Nov 2024 (e.g. x.com/palikaras/stat…) because even tiny delays can determine whether a trade wins or loses instantly. At the time Virtu's ex big boss man tried to switch from this subject... The key beneficiaries are market makers and high-frequency traders, who are entrenched in an arms race using FPGA hardware, co-location, direct feeds, and specialized network architecture to shave off every possible nanosecond.

I get no joy from making a post like this, but I do so because the information might help us to understand who we're dealing with. W. Leo McBlain is an FIF Chairman and he was active in founding the FIF in 1996. He's also a retired Catholic Deacon of the Diocese of Camden. The Camden Diocese recently agreed to pay a $180M abuse settlement, and even though McBlain wasn't named, it's likely that he put many of the accused in these positions. I'd like to believe that his trust was betrayed, but knowing that he's also in a position of power within FIF, an organization that appears to prioritize money over Market integrity, it's difficult to give him the benefit of the doubt. What the BSS PIA actually says The “Bluesheets as a Service – External System (BSS)” Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) is an official SEC Division of Enforcement document describing the system used to ingest, store, and process blue-sheet trading data, including sensitive PII. The key word is “External” Because BSS is classified as an "external" system, it is not built, owned, or operated inside the SEC’s own infrastructure. It is provided to the SEC "as a service". The operator is @FINRA, the same organization that already runs the Electronic Blue Sheets (EBS) platform used by broker-dealers. So how does the data actually flow? Here’s the real pipeline: 1. Broker-dealers respond to blue-sheet requests by uploading files to FINRA. 2. Submissions move through FINRA systems (SIAC, Request Manager, fileX) under FINRA Rules 8210, 8211, and 8213 3. FINRA uses those files for its own regulatory purposes 4. FINRA then routes that same data to the SEC, now through the BSS system described in the PIA So the SEC receives processed outputs, not raw, independently verified source data. PROVE ME WRONG. #BlueLedgerAI Why does this matter? History shows that when blue-sheet data is wrong, the problem almost always comes from broker-dealer systems, not from independent regulator infrastructure. Firms have been fined (slaps on the wrist) for years of inaccurate or incomplete blue-sheet submissions caused by “coding” or “systems” errors, just like those found in MMTLP, often discovered only after regulators cross-checked the data against other sources, which can take YEARS. And that’s the issue. The pipeline is: 1. Broker-dealer systems → 2. FINRA-operated SaaS → 3 SEC investigators The PIA does not describe any built-in, independent validation of those submissions. Unless the data is separately reconciled against CAT, exchange feeds, or internal firm books, there is no obvious third-party verification layer. And that reconciliation is not described as a standard feature of BSS in the document. PROVE ME WRONG. #BlueLedgerAI The unavoidable conclusion Despite being framed as the @SECGov's blue-sheet capability, BSS is functionally a @FINRA-operated SaaS platform, fueled by broker-dealer uploads and governed by contracts and policy, not by infrastructure the SEC directly owns or independently verifies. That means critical enforcement data flows through a concentrated, opaque stack sitting inside the same ecosystem it is meant to police. That’s the structure. Now lets find out if there are any concerns on who may own, control, influence and otherwise benefit from this structure... shall we?
