Conchita @MichelleConchi7

The near compulsive obsession about ‘Englishness’ vs or and/or ‘Britishmess’ betrays a massive preoccupation with identity politics that came from Culture Wars in USA ironically I have much more to say on this but in the meantime Katharine Birbalsingh podcast is excellent on exploring this further and I think she’s pretty much nailed it @Miss_Snuffy Katharine will be speaking at our upcoming Together 5th Anniversary on education and much more alongside some other fantastic speakers We all need to grapple with thorny issues and openly thrash them out in public not shut down smear or censor @Togetherdec youtu.be/Q-_e8hcl-2I?si…

Billionaire-backed C40 Cities works through city mayors to advance far-reaching Net Zero policies - including measures designed to restrict private-car use. This allows policies never clearly put to voters in a national manifesto to spread from city to city, often without proper public debate or parliamentary scrutiny. Andy Burnham signed a major C40 transport declaration as Greater Manchester Mayor. His drive to transfer even more power to regional mayors should be examined in that context.

.@AndyBurnham is pushing a system requiring people to show Government-issued ID to access the internet "Papers Please" for the internet was NOT in Labour's manifesto Plenty question Burnham's own democratic legitimacy anyway Use our tool NOW to email your MP and register your opposition - it takes seconds: together.eaction.org.uk/sm-ban-vpn #dontidtheinternet

A “social media ban for children” ultimately risks ID checks for all of us before we can speak online @lisanandy @andyburnham you have NO DEMOCRATIC MANDATE for this "ban" It was NOT in @uklabour's manifesto You have no business ushering us towards ID checks to get online #dontidtheinternet

Those councillors & MPs that hold the public in such contempt That they can just impose measure after measure on us without consequence in the name of ‘climate emergency’ with Net Zero making us poorer weaker , like LTNs 15 minute cities surveillance fines Like free speech assaults , LFR , Digital Id We’re here to let them know we will keep fighting undemocratic assaults on us all Come on Sat 7 Nov to Together 5th Anniversary Great speakers vital issues Last few days for Early Bird tickets below 👇 x.com/Togetherdec/st…

DIGITAL ID PLEDGE: "They want to bring it in via the backdoor" @danwootton Digital ID would be "beginning of the end of true freedom in the United Kingdom" "They are determined to bring it in, and will use really dodgy methods to do so" The national Digital ID proposal was defeated - but the risk of “back door digital ID” is still very real That is why The Pledge still matters It's a simple but serious commitment to refuse Digital ID - whatever name it is given Take The Pledge: togetherdeclaration.org/pledge
