Make any knowledge base or LLM wiki follow the Open Knowledge Format with our new OKF plugin. OKF is an open spec created by Google that makes markdown-based knowledge bases portable and interoperable through a set of shared patterns and rules. With the new plugin, you can easily convert any existing knowledge base to OKF, and have agents write and maintain your wiki in the format. The plugin leverages a combination of linting, deterministic rules, and automations for creating special files like 𝚒𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚡.𝚖𝚍. It also adds a skill and leverages our MCP tools to give agents real-time hints and warnings as they write, so issues get caught immediately — plus 𝚊𝚞𝚍𝚒𝚝 and 𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚝 tools to check the entire knowledge base any time.

`𝚘𝚔 <𝚏𝚒𝚕𝚎.𝚖𝚍>` lets you (or your agents) open any markdown or mdx file in our what-you-is-what-you-get markdown editor. This is part of a large set of improvements to our file management and IDE experience geared towards making OpenKnowledge a delightful, go to option for editing any markdown file, in any project. We now support 30+ agent harness integrations within OpenKnowledge. This is enabled by the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), which let us build our custom UI experience while fully leveraging the agents on your computer. Also powers our new Follow Mode and Comments features. Follow mode automatically navigates the IDE to the files being edited by agents, and animates agent changes so it's easy to follow along. Comments let you annotate and mark up specs, blogs, and other documents and send all the feedback in one go to agents. Now enabled in the Mac, Linux or Windows apps. ~Day 3/5 of Launch Week~
~Day 2/5 of Launch Week~ Add a second brain to any device with new Linux + Windows apps and Remote Control // self-hosting. Our vision for OpenKnowledge is a shared system for both humans and agents to write, maintain, and collaborate on knowledge. So we built desktop apps for Linux and Windows, to join our Mac app. Bonus: you can also use the new Remote Control mode to connect to your knowledge base from remote MCP clients like Claude and Codex mobile apps, cloud-based agents like Grok Bot, or for teams that want to connect to a common knowledge base. You can run remote control mode directly on your computer or deploy it to an always-on service like Railway. For more fun, try connecting multiple agents: they can use OpenKnowledge as a shared 2nd brain and collaboration and coordination surface.
Introducing Visimer: Open source visual editor for Mermaid diagrams. Visimer brings point-and-click edits to Mermaid diagrams, so they can be more easily polished. Try it in any markdown file using OpenKnowledge or check out the component library. ~Day 1/5 of Launch Week~

You can now use any web app alongside Claude Code. Here I use @openknowledge to draft my weekly blog post. It's one thing to bring an AI agent to your app. It's another thing to bring your app to your AI agent.
