Listening to the tapes from the Tennessee GOP it is obvious they wanted to expel Gloria Johnson for no other reason than to be able to say their actions were not racists. They had their plan before she was even given her hearing on the floor of the House. Whatever happened during her "trial" was pre determined by the GOP. When one Republican did not vote for her expulsion because there was no evidence to expel her. Their whole plan backfired. I think they really wanted to expel Gloria Johnson to give them cover for their racists action. And she was the one most likely to not get reappointed because of the Knox County Commission.
