#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice     #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3137   If only Trump had gone camping or to any true wilderness when he was young, he wouldn’t be destroying National Parks for everyone else.  He is opening up the outdoors to oil and gas, mining, grazing, fishing, logging, and now off-road vehicles.  He rescinded the executive orders of Nixon and Carter, which restricted off-road vehicles to certain areas.  This will harm delicate ecosystems-and disrupt the lives of wild animals.   The changes he is making to our National Park Service are staggering.  In his executive order of March 2025, he claims a complete honesty about our history will be seen as “purportedly racist“, and this disturbs his fragile ideas of American greatness.  He states it is “inappropriately disparaging of the grandeur of the American landscape.”  What does Trump know about Grandeur?  His efforts are to honor statues of slaveholders and he is requiring the Secretary of the Interior to restore any monument previously removed.  He is involved in lawsuits as a result.   He is skimming off entry fees to our parks for a $1.6 million fireworks display on the 4th of July, and to fund a “beautification effort“ in D.C. which will divert over $90 million.  He wants to indulge in restoring fountains, pouring gold over bronze statues, and awarding no-bid contracts to friends ahead of our observance of 250 years as a nation.  His list of pet projects is extensive and expensive.     Meanwhile, there is a $24 billion backlog of deferred infrastructure projects for our NPS, which Congress has not renewed the funding for after it expired in October,  not including the 4,000 NPS employees fired.  National Parks belong to all Americans, not just to one person who has never been to one.   The GOP Congress has enabled all this Trump destruction.  #VoteBlue

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice     #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3136   One billionaire.  One person has given a donation to trump to prevent the opening of a beautiful new bridge built by Canada for 4.7 billion dollars.  Gordie Howe International Bridge was named for the legendary Canadian Ice Hockey star, who played for the Detroit Red Wings.  The September 11, 2001 attacks highlighted the need for more than one bridge between Windsor, Canada, and Detroit, USA.  The Detroit Bridge built in 1929, is nearly 100 years old.  It’s one of the few privately owned bridges in operation.   Matthew Moroun, a billionaire in the trucking industry in Detroit, has fought in the courts over this for decades.  Mr. Moroun met with the Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick recently.  Less than a month previous to that, he donated $1 million to a super PAC devoted to Trump.  One billionaire has argued that a new, nicer bridge will infringe on his ability to collect tolls.  As a result, Trump has now held up opening the bridge even though Canada is Michigan’s largest export market. Gretchen Whitmer and Elissa Slotkin both say it will bring jobs and economic benefits for both countries.  Trump is also hinting he might not renew the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement on July 1.    Trump doesn’t understand how trade works, and has an advisor he hired because Jared Kushner thought he wrote a great book.  Trump has already cost us at least 20% in losses (4 Bn) from Canadians deciding not to travel to America with all his ugly bluster and tariff nonsense.  The result?  A beautiful bridge that you can bike on, walk on, or drive trucks across is closed because one billionaire donated $1 million in a blatant bribe.  This is why the world despises us, and we can’t have nice things.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE   WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3135   In a victory for all voters, on June 22, 2026 a judge struck down yet another result of false claims of the Trump administration.  Mostly designed to harm naturalized citizens, Trump’s plan to meddle in our elections, was stopped.  The DHS was attempting to misuse personal information found in the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database, and information found in the Social Security database.  This has been used before to purge voters illegally.   The case was filed to prevent a sprawling national database.  Thankfully, for now the attempt to nationalize voter rolls was prevented.  League of Women Voters v. Department of Homeland Security was brought by a coalition of voters rights groups, among them League of Women Voters, Electronic Privacy Information Center, Democracy Forward Foundation, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, and Fair Elections Center.   The federal government must protect our right to vote and prevent certain states from erroneously purging voters, and protect our privacy.  Free and fair elections form the basis for our democracy.  Having our private data in one federal system puts us all at risk.  This ruling makes uncertain the future of yet another executive order signed by this president.   Make sure you show up to exercise your right to vote.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice       #wtpBLUE      WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3134   When will the MAHA folks realize trump doesn’t really care about making us all healthy again?  Trump’s executive order 14387 supports the theory that the use of glyphosate based pesticides are somehow promoting national defense, and RFKJr has fallen in line.  Recently as an environmental lawyer, RFKJr was defending plaintiffs & winning large awards for those that suffer from cancer as a result of their exposure to Roundup.  But he needs support for his fringe vaccine policy, so perhaps it’s a trade off?  It’s ironic that the executive order claims that production is tied to the health and safety of Americans.  Since National Defense supersedes all other types of  executive orders, the precursor to the herbicide phosphorus has been deemed a critical mineral, and it is now controlled under both the Department of Agriculture, and Defense.   In addition, the government is claiming the domestic producers of phosphorus and the herbicide are immune from any risk to their financial bottom line.  The Supreme Court is currently reviewing whether federal law preempts any state lawsuits alleging cancer is caused by the use of this herbicide.  It’s alleged that it causes cancer, liver disease, developmental and metabolic disorders in children, and diabetes later in life.  The EPA claims a one in a million chance of cancer is their benchmark. Yet this chemical represents a one in one hundred chance.   Remember to #VoteBlue in November.

VP Vance says the Memorandum of Understanding was signed electronically a week ago Sunday.  But our government has not released the details yet of the agreement.  Vance says that’s because “technical” things are still being negotiated.  There is much speculation about the nitty gritty details but we won’t know until and unless someone releases the full text of the agreement.  Sounding like a Mafia boss, Vance said, “Iran will have a much better and prosperous future if they meet the obligations they will make in this agreement.”  It really is no surprise or coincidence that people remain skeptical of the whole thing.

(Please!).  What could possibly go wrong with his appointment supervising the dismantling of public education, especially of students enrolled in Special Education?  It looks like a furtherance of #Project2025, dismantling any program that helps regular people.  RFKjr has proven time and again his judgment is irresponsible, especially when it comes to children, even his own.  Just ask Kerry Kennedy, his sister.  She recently exposed his wild behavior with snakes and his own newborn son, and a swimming pool full of children at a birthday party.  He’s long been obsessed with mutilating animals, in the most bizarre exploration of what he calls his veterinary science interest.  Psychologists warn about cruelty to animals.  It’s psychopathic behavior.  He’s in charge of one the largest, most vital departments in our government, while believing in crackpot theories about the safety of vaccines.  He’s written articles on causes of SIDS or autism with no evidence and submitted them to science journals.  It’s the perfect recipe to undermine any trust in experts at vital health institutions.  His leadership at HHS has been criticized as lackadaisical,  showing barely any interest a year into this regime to appoint positions desperately needed to run such a sprawling complex of agencies. 15 of 33 positions of NIH, 14 of 26 at CDC, 10 of 22 at the FDA are vacant or have temporary appointees.  How will America cope when the next public emergency occurs?  He overruled CDC experts to keep an American passenger exposed to the Hantavirus.  A federal judge had to block his efforts to overhaul the childhood vaccine schedule, and to completely replace the advisory committee, a violation of federal procedures.  He is a risk to public health in every aspect, so naturally the regime thinks he’s the perfect guy to take over the Department of Education.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE   WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3131   7 in 10 Americans now oppose data centers, especially in rural areas.  The opposition is across party lines.  There’s a 6 to 29% increase in electricity costs as a result of data center expansion with the use of ChatGPT and other AI searches.  This could cost our economy $25 billion annually.   AI advocates claim people are receiving funding from China to mount opposition, but the opposition is more organic.  It impacts utility rates, property values, and there’s a lack of transparency overall.  The biggest problems are environmental, increasing air and water pollution.  Water cannot be used for drinking or agriculture after it takes on the heavy metals while cooling these giant computers.  It’s estimated we will use about 400 billion gallons of water by 2030.  Air pollution is estimated to increase by 48%.  Our aging electrical grid cannot keep up with the demand, while the trump regime has done all they can to cancel projects for wind and solar, which would alleviate some of the pressure and cost.  Infrastructure has been largely ignored in the US since World War II with the exception of Joe Biden’s efforts. Objectors are moving towards lawsuits rather than just protesting at meetings, while coalitions are forming to oppose more projects.  One of the leaders is the NAACP. They have sued xAI (owned by Musk) in April, for the overuse of methane gas turbines in a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee.  ChatGPT uses 10 times more electricity than a regular Google search does.  The tech companies promoting AI are building alliances with the oil and gas industry to get their centers up and running as soon as possible. The builders are using something called Heatmap pro, in order to gauge opposition, so make sure your local government knows how you vote.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice       #wtpBLUE      WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3130   In 1973 Congress passed the War Powers Act , due to Nixon’s actions towards Vietnam.  It reasserted Congress as having the power to declare war, and required presidents to consult with Congress within 48 hours of any action.  After September 11, 2001, civilians were allowed to be classified as “enemy combatants” by the Bush administration, after he signed the Military Commissions Act of 2006.  It allowed a bypass of Geneva Conventions in the “War on Terror.”   If you’re looking for the justification the trump regime uses in their continued killing of civilians on boats in the Caribbean, he has classified these extrajudicial killings-205 dead so far, as “Narcoterrorists.”  There has never been any military intelligence provided justifying these morally abhorrent acts.  It’s a clear violation of International and Maritime Law, and a human rights violation.   According to drug experts, cocaine comes mostly from Columbia.  It’s been estimated 5.7 million pounds enters the U.S., about 11 times what is seized by the Coast Guard. There’s been no change in prices or purity since trump began this strategy.  Why can’t the military just intercept and search these boats?  There are already at least 15,000 troops of the U.S. Southern Command involved, at a cost to taxpayers of at least $4.7 million.  Don’t forget the capture of Venezuela’s leader Maduro, and ground strikes in Ecuador.   Congress has been ineffectual, because Republicans vote down every effort to stop these abuses.  The U.S. has not signed the United Nations Convention on the Law of The Sea, which would require military force against civilians only if the vessel was engaged in a perceived attack against the U.S. The republicans can never again claim they are the party of law and order. Let them hear your voice when you vote.

In contrast, the director of the FBI appears to be using his slush fund to pay extra cash bonuses to employees who are close to him and do his bidding.  We know now that the DOJ was trying to set up a billion dollar plus slush fund that the president could use to reward many of the people who were involved in the January 6 attack on the Capitol and were later convicted of seditious conspiracy.  He thinks that they deserve our tax dollars because they were loyal to him and were targeted unfairly by the previous administration.  How do you feel about this use of taxpayer money to reward loyalty?  If you think this is wrong, you can make a choice to vote and to work to elect more Democrats.  That’s the only way this can change! #VoteBlue

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice     #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3129   Since 1970, June is time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.  Originating with the Stonewall Inn riot in NYC,  it was a reaction to a violent police raid.  Several Republican governors are attempting to rebrand the month’s celebrations to counter what they perceive as a threat to our culture.  Titles range from “Strong Families Month,” Fidelity Month, and “Nuclear Family Month.”  These actions are largely seen as influenced directly by the  White House.   Republican voters rightly should feel betrayed, then, by the hypocrisy of trump’s homoerotic spectacle to celebrate his birthday with wrestling bouts of muscled men and his constant comments men are so good looking, even crude comments about Arnold Palmer’s anatomy.  His fixation on male beauty has resulted in “requirements” that military men chosen to celebrate his birthday “look good on camera.”  Don’t forget his love of the gay anthem Y.M.C.A.  This all while working to evict LGBTQ+ from our military, and to delete transgender history from federal websites.  Perhaps Republicans should be reminded that the app GRINDR crashes whenever they gather for conventions before they claim to be all for traditional marriage month.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice     #wtpBLUE    WE THE PEOPLE    wtp3128   Ahead of next November’s elections, the Trump regime is vowing to send in federal troops to polling locations to intimidate voters.  Remember when Trump bragged upon his 2nd term in the White House “..we shouldn’t even have an election“ ?  He spreads disinformation to give the public perception that immigrants were brought here just to vote illegally.   MAGA influencers, and some members of Congress are supporting the idea the National Guard should patrol polling places.  There were already trial runs in Los Angeles, Portland, and Chicago.  There’s no mandate to do so – it’s just because these are a majority of democrats there.  There are fears that Trump will invoke the “Insurrection Act“ after claiming Antifa (not an organization, just a belief in anti-fascism) is a “domestic terror organization.”   The constitution gives us the right to vote, the right to privacy, and the right to assemble. The 15th and 19th amendments state we should be free from intimidation, threats, and violence.  Trump’s executive order on March 31st of this year stated only states that comply with a requirement of eligible voter lists supervised by the USPS will receive federal funding.  State and local officials should prepare to mount a public information campaign to deescalate tensions between law enforcement and voters.

#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice    #wtpBLUE   WE THE PEOPLE   wtp3127   What is the lobbying group AIPAC, and why has it become so polarizing to democrats?  AIPAC, or the American Public Affairs Committee- established in 1954, has traditionally enjoyed bipartisan support, supporting solid ties between the U.S and Israel.  Funded by American citizens, AIPAC has a “super PAC” called United Democracy Project, which gives untraceable money to candidates.  It has become a lightning rod for those who normally would accept funding from the pro-Israel group.   Americans have begun to reject the policy decisions of Israel, led by Netanyahu, who has moved ever more towards authoritarianism.  Netanyahu began to polarize voters by accepting then Speaker John Boehner’s invitation to come lobby Congress, attempting to convince our Congress to withdraw support of Obama’s deal with Iran.  Netanyahu hasn’t become more rational since then.  The American people have come to reject his oversized suppression of the Palestinians, his killing of civilians in Gaza and the West Bank.  He has divided this country by his reaction to the tragedy that occurred on October 7th.   Because of its blind support of all things Netanyahu, accepting support from the super PAC has become controversial.  Most recently, AIPAC supported 100 Congress members who voted to reject the results of the 2020 election.  This has resulted in it losing bipartisan support.  Many voters are deciding that if a candidate accepts any funding from AIPAC, that’s a reason to not support them.
