Yesterday I flagged that 13 Korean companies were listed as OUSD partners. Today there’s a significant caveat: several of them say they never actually agreed to anything. OUSD (Open USD) is a dollar stablecoin from the Open Standard consortium, unveiled June 30 with a planned launch this year and 140+ global finance and payment firms listed — Visa, Mastercard, BlackRock, plus the Korean names. But Samsung Electronics said flatly there was no formal discussion and it doesn’t know what role it would play. Shinhan, Dunamu, and K Bank said Open Standard asked about participation, they said they’d “consider it,” and then found their names listed as consortium members. One company rep said they learned they were included from Korean news coverage and were baffled, having only casually replied “we’ll look at it if it works out.”

AI is the biggest bubble humanity has ever witnessed. Will some AI companies and products survive? Absolutely. Is AI changing the world? Absolutely. So did the internet in the late '90s. That didn't stop one of the biggest speculative bubbles in history. Now look at this chart and tell me we're not in a bubble. Go ahead.

The funny thing about Bitcoin and Amplified Bitcoin is that the extreme volatility can feel painful, yet this price action is consistent with a reasonable stochastic model. Extreme moves are part of the expected distribution. This is business as usual! Welcome to the show.

I am reliably informed that ECB president Christine Lagarde directly ordered Greece to reject Binance’s MiCA license application. My source said Binance had essentially been given the green light by Greece’s regulator, before the ECB stepped in. Not good news for crypto if the ECB is ultimately pulling the strings.

Lots of reasons: 1. I feel like Aave doesn't want it enough anymore 2. Vaults are the next big thing, and Morpho is winning there 3. Aave's moat eroded with Marc leaving, poor v4 performance, btc/eth going down (Morpho focusses on RWAs) Morpho has better partners (from tradfi & fintech) and a bigger dream to sell.

Bitcoin bear markets make fools of both bulls and bears. BTC rallied from $80k to $98k from November 2025 to January 2026. People were calling for the supercycle and alt season. Then BTC set new cycle lows in February 2026, just like it usually does in midterm years. BTC rallied from $60k to $82k from February 2026 to May 2026, and the bears were relentlessly mocked and ridiculed again. Then BTC set new cycle lows in June 2026, just like it usually does in midterm years. The cycle keeps playing out. It makes the bulls look like fools because the market trends up for so long, only to wipe out all of the gains in a very short period. It makes the bears look like fools because the market spends a lot of time trending up, before breaking down quickly. So the bear thesis will often look wrong, even when its right. Do not let emotions rule your investment decisions. Have a plan and stick to it.
