🚨 JUST IN: President Trump PRAISES HERO FlyDubai pilot Captain Smit Machchhar and the Israeli man who stormed the cockpit, SAVING the plane from a hijacking and terror attack "He took the stick and LEVELED OUT THE PLANE BEFORE IT CRASHED." "He RIPPED this guy out of the seat, threw him back, the passengers grabbed him!" 👏🏻 "A terrorist...he st*bbed the pilot...the pilot in bad shape had the sense to, amazing, a hero, to open the door!" Absolutely incredible. EVERYONE in that plane was going to be dead if those heroes did not spring into action Islamist terrorism is a HUGE ISSUE!

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery. Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster. He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals. I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery. He is a true hero.

FRANCE 🇫🇷 An initiative has been launched called 'Merci Léon' It aims to collect 100,000 messages of thanks to Pope Leo for his visit to France and to present them to him at the Vatican

On this day, three years ago, Pope Francis presided over the Consistory where Robert Francis Prevost O.S.A, the future Pope Leo XIV, was raised to the Sacred College of Cardinals.

At today’s General Audience, Pope Leo XIV renewed his call for Catholics around the world to pray the Holy Rosary throughout October—especially for an end to war and for peace among peoples in conflict. He first made this appeal in Lourdes, and today he again encouraged the faithful to make the Rosary a prayer for peace. Let’s do it. One Rosary at a time, united in prayer for our world.

I would like to share some thoughts on my recent #ApostolicJourney to #France with the motto “That the world may have life” (cf. Jn 6:51). God alone, through his grace, can restore the Church and renew humanity, and this is precisely what is occurring in Paris, Lourdes and Metz.

Six purported miracles are attributed to the intercession of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen as part of the process that could lead to his canonization, Monsignor Jason Gray, executive director of the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation, said Thursday. Gray made the announcement at a press conference with Bonnie Engstrom, whose newborn child was miraculously healed after she prayed for Sheen’s assistance. That confirmed miracle led to Sheen’s beatification. Any purported miracle attributed to Sheen’s intercession that has taken place since Pope Francis announced his beatification in July 2019 can count toward his eventual canonization, which typically requires a second miracle to move forward. Gray said efforts were underway to gather documentation. “There’s a potential healing from Stage 4 cancer that resolved itself instantaneously. That one sounds pretty good,” Gray said. “There’s another one of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy of a newborn child. I have no idea what that is but it sounds really bad. So we have a couple different candidates, one for healing a cancer, and healing of another child. And that’s why it’s premature to say anything more than that. We’ll investigate and leave it in the hands of the Holy See.” James Fulton Engstrom, in what medical experts characterize as a miracle, survived in spite of having spent 61 minutes without a heartbeat. The healthy 16-year-old will present several of Sheen’s relics during the beatification Mass today. When asked why she chose to call upon Sheen specifically in such a dire moment, Engstrom noted that Sheen had been a favorite of their family for years — a “local boy” with a down-to-earth Midwestern air, a “warm character” who reminded Engstrom of her own grandfather and great-grandfather. In an on-air interview with EWTN on Thursday, his mother said she and her husband, Travis, were impressed with how thorough the Vatican’s investigation into the miracle was. “Travis and I felt very reassured that, wow, when the Catholic Church says something is a miracle, it is a miracle,” Engstrom said during the press conference.
