An AG officer sent me a thought today that explains the Army’s readiness problem better than most official studies. For normal Americans, an officer support form is basically a yearly promise sheet. Officers write down what they plan to accomplish, spend the rating period creating enough visible activity to make the promise look real, then help turn the whole thing into evaluations, awards, storyboards, and briefings before moving to the next job. Imagine a restaurant writing its own health inspection, a contractor certifying his own bridge, or a student grading his own final exam, then everyone treating the paperwork as proof of excellence. THAT is the machine. Over time, the Army did not simply create bad incentives. It created an entire priesthood of self-authored success. Officers learn to win the narrative, survive the rating period, collect the right trophies, and leave before reality audits the claim. Nobody has to lie on purpose when the process teaches everyone to speak fluent fiction. This is how readiness becomes theater. The unit brief looks clean. The evaluation sounds impressive. The award reads like Caesar crossed the Rubicon. Then you look under the hood and find broken equipment, hollow training, exhausted soldiers, and leaders who spent years being rewarded for looking successful instead of becoming dangerous. We built an Army that can describe readiness better than it can prove it. War does not care who wrote a strong support form. War does not read PCS awards or care how beautiful the storyboard looked. War is the audit. And one way or another, the receipts are coming.

Just about every conservative dude I've ever met, has respect for the Native Americans. The only time they'll dis them is when some leftist pansy blabbers about "stolen land". Otherwise, there is a large respect for our history together, their warrior culture, their resilience. In many ways, it is similar to our relationship with Japan. We can't hate a brave warrior culture who stood up to us. The respect runs so deep that we named locations, military hardware, sports team and chants after them. Every time some soft handed leftist paints them up as some peaceful nature hippies, he does a disservice to these heroic people. What is more, Natives overwhelmingly vote for border control and reduced immigration, they are allies in our battles. Working on finishing the fence repair today. Got the H-brace done. Gotta take a break before I go pull wire. I install the cross brace with 3/8" rebar. About 4 inches into both the post and cross brace on one end then all the way through the post into the cross brace on the other end. I like this method much better than nails, but everyone has their own way.

Everyone’s favorite thing to say to me in an effort to “undermine” my work on here is that “I’m not a real farmer.” I spend a lot of time every single day working my land. I’ve always been honest: it’s just me, no tractor, and 1-2 acres of land I’m working myself while leaving the other 5 acres wild for pollinators (my own grassland). I’m pretty proud of all that I’ve done with this only being my SECOND YEAR EVER teaching myself how to farm. I work the ground at my land and am repairing the soil. It was a neglected hay field before it became mine. And I’m also adding raised beds, trellis arches, and I assembled my own greenhouse this past winter. I grew my own lavender from seed in our very cold climate. I have perennial lupine all over now to hopefully host the Karner blue butterfly. I have tons of monarch butterflies already at my property from the milkweed and nectar sources I sowed for them. And I am growing food in as many places as my two hands can dig. I can only imagine where I’ll be 5-years from now, with probably 10x the yield of what I’m able to do today. I don’t use any pesticides or herbicides. I use my rabbit fertilizer for gardening. I don’t till. I’m doing this the old fashioned, natural way that honors the land and my commitment to being a Monarch Waystation and Certified Wildlife Habitat. So many different animals and pollinators call my farm home now. That was always my intention. From there I am building on what I’ve been able to do in a short amount of time. Hopefully in the future at some point I can open my farm to the public. Right now I cannot from a safety point of view. There are unfortunately a small amount of people on here who wish me harm for exposing the green energy grift. That’s the price I’m paying to report on the information our legacy media would rather I keep quiet. I know what I signed up for. And I will end with this: we need more non-farmers from non-farming families to start growing food on a small-scale arrangement. I encourage anyone else to do what I am doing! If someone tries to bully you for it, tell them to F off lol. I might not be a 400-acre farmer today, but I am a small-scale farmer that’s doing right by the soil, the plants, the water, and the animals to feed my family, and eventually, small community. Give me a damn second!

They told you Obamacare would discipline the insurance giants. Force them to compete. Drive down premiums through the magic of an online marketplace with a clean government website. Then you watched the website crash in October 2013, and you watched UnitedHealth, Aetna, and Anthem post record profits while your deductible climbed past $6,000. Here is what the exchanges actually built. The law forced you to buy a product under penalty of the individual mandate, then handed the insurers a fountain of taxpayer cash to make the product look affordable. Premium tax credits flowed straight to the carriers, not to you. In 2017 the federal government paid roughly $42 billion in subsidies, and that money landed in corporate accounts. The cost-sharing reduction payments did the same thing. The risk corridor program promised to backstop insurer losses outright, which is to say it socialized the downside while the executives kept the upside. Guaranteed customers. Guaranteed revenue. A captive market created by statute. Any cartel in history would have killed for terms like that. Free market economists have a plain name for this arrangement: rent-seeking. When a firm earns its money by extracting subsidies through political channels instead of by serving customers who choose freely, it stops being a business and becomes a tax farmer. The insurers lobbied for the mandate because they understood the arithmetic better than the voters did. America's Health Insurance Plans spent millions backing the bill, then acted shocked when premiums on the individual market more than doubled between 2013 and 2017 in many states. They were not the victims of the law. They wrote the parts that mattered. Strip away the subsidy and the whole structure collapses, because the prices were never real prices. A real price emerges when a buyer who can walk away meets a seller who can lose the sale. The exchange killed both conditions. You could not walk away without a penalty, and the seller could not lose because Washington covered the gap. This is not a market. The people who keep calling it one are counting on you not noticing who cashes the check.

A Quick Lesson: What “10/20 Standards” Actually Means in the Army There’s only one maintenance standard in the Army - the 10/20 Standard (TM 10 & TM 20 series manuals). It’s not a suggestion. It’s how we keep equipment Fully Mission Capable (FMC) and ready to fight tonight. Here are the 8 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗥 750-1, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 3-2: Equipment is Fully Mission Capable (FMC) - It can perform its combat mission right now. No excuses. -All faults are identified using the “items to be checked” column in the TM’s PMCS tables (daily, weekly, etc.). -All repairs, services, and related work for field-level faults are completed if parts are on hand. -Parts not on hand are on a valid funded requisition (you ordered them and they’re funded). -Maintenance not authorized at field level is properly evacuated to sustainment with correct paperwork. -Scheduled services are done on time (10% variance allowed for mission needs on ground equipment). -All Modification Work Orders (MWOs), SOUMs, and safety messages are applied and properly reported/closed in GCSS-A. -All authorized BII and COEI (Basic Issue Items & Components of End Items) are present, serviceable, or on order. Why it matters: 10/20 isn’t about “looking good on paper.” 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. Equipment at 10/20 lasts longer, breaks less in the field, keeps Soldiers safe, and wins wars. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘁, units are truly “ready to fight tonight” instead of hoping nothing breaks. 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 and a warfighting imperative.
