BREAKING: SORRY BOZO! America’s top military commander tells Trump his strategy to defeat Iran ISN’T GOING TO WORK in an absolutely brutal blow! Who couldn’t see this coming… Nearly two weeks after tearing up the ceasefire he signed with Iran, Trump is now stuck in an even WORSE quagmire that he really has no way out of now that he’s burned the diplomatic bridge. From the outset of this war, Trump appears to have been convinced that if you bomb Iran hard enough, the government would collapse, the people would rise up and install a new government eager to build Trump Tower Tehran and sign over the nation’s oil rights to Exxon-Mobil. The opposite happened, and now the Pentagon’s top brass is advising Trump to stop bombing because there isn’t much more to be accomplished. Axios reports that “the top U.S. military commander in the Middle East, Adm. Brad Cooper, recommended stopping the bombing campaign around the Strait of Hormuz because it has reached the limit of its effectiveness, according to two sources with knowledge of his position.” In addition, the US is rapidly running out of missiles and interceptors with nothing to show for it, and is in fact in a much weaker position than it was before. After Trump declared the ceasefire dead on July 8, Iran immediately began striking American military bases across the Middle East, killing at least three American service members and reportedly injuring hundreds more. The Wall Street Journal reported that strikes are coming in so quickly that US troops don’t even have time to make it to their shelters. This is a continuation of Iran’s previous strategy of "debasification" — targeting US military assets across the Middle East to destroy radar sites, airbases, anti-missile defenses, and troop housing. The Iranians’ success in the first phase of the war — 18 US bases and sites hit across seven countries — has made their second missile campaign much easier, striking nine US installations in the past two weeks alone. In turn, this has made the Trump administration’s “strategy” for defeating Iran — to bomb them until they “cry uncle” — even more difficult to accomplish, as the US has reportedly been forced to pull valuable aircraft assets away from frontline bases to avoid losing them to Iranian missiles. Iran can currently build missiles and low-cost drones much faster than we can produce expensive interceptor missiles, and now that Israel has elected to stay out of the latest phase of the war they egged Trump into starting on their behalf for them, Iran can focus all its firepower on America’s overseas empire. Hanging over all of this is the destabilizing closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the halt of crucial oil traffic out of the Middle East. Ansar Allah — a.k.a. the Houthis — have now declared a blockade of the Red Sea and have bombed two Saudi tankers to make it clear they mean business, threatening to shut down 5% of the entire world’s oil traffic and cutting off one of Trump’s only remaining avenues to bypass Hormuz and keep gas prices from skyrocketing further. Trump and the Republican Party are desperately trying to keep the public from realizing the door is quickly closing on a way out of this mess. They had their chance at some manner of peaceful resolution,but Trump predictably tore it up and threw it in the trash, unwilling to suffer the humiliation of abiding by any terms dictated or agreed to by someone else. Iran now has little reason to believe the United States is sincere in any further negotiations. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke to the media recently and said there would be no way forward with negotiations until America changes its approach, which he called “irrational, excessive, and domineering.” He added, [u]ntil they understand that there is no path forward other than respecting the Iranian people and their interests, there will naturally be no basis for moving in a direction of progress.” Five months into Donald’s quagmire, we have been walloped by rising gas prices, increasing US casualty counts, and a runaway price tag with no end in sight. The only thing dropping is the public’s approval of Trump’s handling of the war — even among his most faithful supporters. In just two months, MAGA’s approval of the Iran war has dropped by 13 points, from 50% to 37%. Polls show that 65% of Americans think “we should make a deal to end the war as quickly as possible,” and 48%say the US should end the war immediately, even without a deal, which, frankly speaking, would be tantamount to defeat. Iran is locked in an existential crisis for its own survival and knows all they have to do is outlast an impatient United States. Trump, on the other hand, is drowning in a morass of his own making and dragging his party — and the country — down with him while time on the clock dwindles. Joe the Plumber cannot fill up his truck or make the mortgage payment with videos of Iranian bridges burning, and widows cannot dry their tears with empty promises of vengeance on Truth Social. And now Trump is told that his one plan for ending this war won’t work. The irony would be delicious if it didn’t taste like so much blood.

The White House is absurdly requesting an additional $73 billion for Pentagon and intelligence spending, the lion’s share of which will be wasted on the Iran War. Countless Americans are struggling to even afford groceries, but the President wants to burn through our taxes to wage a war he can’t win on behalf of Israel’s national interests. And standing at the front of this historic debacle is Hegseth, a man who would be out of his depths in two inches of water. “I think he’s got a massive insecurity complex, he has a lack of experience in large organizations, he micromanages too much. He’s lost my confidence,” Tillis said of Hegseth. But Tillis isn’t the only Republican who feels this way. He revealed that there are “other people” who are just “one decision or another” away from speaking out against Hegseth’s disastrous tenure. Given how quickly this alcoholic, washed up Fox News host makes mistakes, we will inevitably reach the tipping point where the political cost of speaking out (and thus incurring the ire of the MAGA base) is more palatable than the cost of silence. The Hill spoke to an anonymous Republican senator who is “close to Defense policymakers” and they revealed just how dire the confidence crisis has become for Hegseth. “I have heard out of the Pentagon that there’s a loss of confidence — within the Pentagon. And of course then everyone here on the Hill hears those same concerns,” the lawmaker said. In addition to the botched Iran War, Hegseth has instituted a culture of ignorance and fear at the Pentagon, derailing the promotions of highly qualified female service members and forcing respected, experienced leaders into early retirement. “Everybody knows about some of the Game of Thrones stuff going on with some of the other service secretaries and Hegseth,” said Tillis. “It seems like he wants to run the whole place.” “When you’re a leader, you better damn sure have people smarter than you in the room,” he added. “You’re supposed to be air traffic control for all these brilliant people and he’s undermining the DOD’s success by undermining these brilliant people who spent their career in uniform.” The problem is that with Hegseth, no matter what room he steps into, every single person in it is smarter than him. But rather than embrace his own profound intellectual limitations, he lashes out, childishly punishing people for knowing more than him. His perfect version of the Pentagon is a building full of 80 IQ men (because he only wants men around him) who do nothing but flatter his ego and praise his idiotic decisions. Another Republican senator told The Hill that there are “rumblings” about the stunning failure to anticipate Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz — which virtually every geopolitical analyst predicted. “I think there’s a sense it’s taken longer than what we thought and that maybe our strategy didn’t factor in the Strait of Hormuz or [Iran’s] ability to be willing to hit their neighbors.
