Why TX ISO 20022 May Be the Real Prize Most people focus on tokenized stocks, RWAs, and trading applications. But the deeper opportunity may be the financial messaging layer underneath. ISO 20022 is the global language of modern finance. Banks, payment networks, and financial institutions are moving toward this standard because it creates a common format for exchanging structured financial information. The important part is not just the format. It is what happens when ISO 20022 messaging is combined with blockchain settlement. The TX ISO 20022 infrastructure creates a bridge between traditional finance and decentralized networks: • Existing financial message formats can be preserved• Institutions can communicate through cryptographically secured channels• Identity can be linked through on-chain address books• Settlement can move closer to real time• Auditability becomes native to the infrastructure The breakthrough is that blockchain is no longer just a place to issue tokens. It becomes the communication and settlement layer connecting financial institutions. Traditional finance has spent decades building messaging networks, correspondent banking relationships, clearing systems, and reconciliation processes. Replacing those systems is difficult because the standards and workflows are deeply embedded. A blockchain that speaks the same financial language has a different approach. It does not require institutions to abandon ISO 20022. It gives them a new infrastructure layer underneath it. If this is the path TX is building toward, the end game may not be a consumer-facing platform or super app only. That could be just the first part of a bigger picture (CEO manifesto). Another part could be a plug-and-play infrastructure layer where institutions build their own products and user experiences on top. In my opinion, that is exactly where a white-label architecture makes sense: the institution owns the customer relationship, while TX provides the underlying infrastructure. The customer sees the brand. TX becomes the engine powering the complexity underneath. This does NOT prove any partnership with companies like Ondo or xStocks. But in my opinion, the architecture looks aligned with a future where tokenized securities platforms can scale by relying on specialized infrastructure underneath. A bank customer doesn’t care about the backend rails, compliance systems, or technology stack behind their account. They care that the product works. No need to know the infrastructure layer. Why should they? The BEST INFRASTRUCTURE is often the TECHNOLOGY NOBODY NOTICES.

The recent discovery of RQD and Alpaca integrations in TX code could suggest that TX is building infrastructure aimed at supporting institutional distribution and white-label tokenized asset platforms, including potential use cases for companies like Ondo and xStocks. The reason is that RQD and Alpaca represent different but complementary pieces of the regulated asset lifecycle. Alpaca is known for brokerage infrastructure, APIs, and access to trading systems. An integration at the code level suggests TX may be preparing connectivity with broker-facing workflows, where tokenized assets can interact with traditional market infrastructure rather than existing only inside a blockchain ecosystem. Remember that at genesis, the Coreum network (now TX) launched with just 9 validators, which was considered more than sufficient to secure the network. It was later expanded to 32 validators, the founders’ intended long-term target. The subsequent expansion to 64 validators was driven by the community, not because the network required additional validators for security, but because the community wanted to create more opportunities for those interested in contributing to and supporting the ecosystem. Our validator was pleased to support that community-led proposal. The key point is that the TX network does not require 64 validators to remain secure. We should absolutely welcome validator diversity and broader participation, but there is no reason for concern if some validator slots remain unfilled at any given time. On the contrary, those with a long-term perspective may view the current situation as an opportunity. As the ecosystem continues to grow, today’s open validator slots could become increasingly valuable.
