Abnormal stops cybercrime with AI. Our Behavioral Security Platform spans email, identity, and insider threat, powered by proprietary Behavioral AI.abnormal.ai Las Vegas, NVJoined July 2019
How do you catch an attacker sending from a real account? Real domain, real history, real relationships. Every signal your defenses were built to trust says "friend." The only question left is whether the account is behaving like itself.
Two favorite details from how our team cracked this:
You can't retrain on misses you can't find. So they mined the "I was hacked, please ignore my last email!" apologies victims send afterward, then traced back 72 hours to find the attack. The victim labels the attack for you.
Adding email content made detection worse. The signal was sender behavior measured against that account's own baseline. Behavior is the tell.
In the last 30 days this model caught ~9,000 campaigns that no other detector flagged.
This is what building AI to fight AI actually looks like.
AI Phishing Coach from @Abnormal is getting it's biggest upgrade yet, including a Training Creator feature that lets security teams turn a plain-language prompt and a few images into a finished video training module.
The product also now comes with several other key features that give security practitioners get real control over their program without giving up the automation Abnormal provides.
We're investing heavily here, and there's a lot more coming.
Project QuiltWorks is expanding across the tech ecosystem.
CrowdStrike is bringing real-time data from 12 technology leaders into Falcon Next-Gen SIEM – giving defenders a broader view to discover vulnerabilities, analyze attack paths, prioritize risk, and accelerate remediation.
Now joining QuiltWorks: @Abnormal AI, @Artemis Security, @AttackIQ, @ExtraHop, @Hacker0x01, @Horizon3ai, @Netskope, @PicusSecurity, @Rubrik, @SafeBreach, @terraoffsec and @Zscaler.
More data. More visibility. Faster action against frontier AI risk.

Abnormal AI joins @CrowdStrike's Project QuiltWorks, which surfaces vulnerabilities at the scale and speed of frontier AI.
As frontier AI changes the speed and scale at which attackers can move, we're adding behavioral security to the coalition's framework for frontier AI risk, closing exposure gaps other tools miss and giving mutual customers a more complete answer to where they're exposed. abnormal.ai/blog/crowdstri…
AI Phishing Coach already trains employees on the real attacks Abnormal stops, and it's the reason hundreds of customers have adopted it this past year. Now it gets smarter.
We rebuilt it to adapt to how each employee actually behaves: smarter simulations, real follow-up, new attack types.

AI-enabled threats will continue to get better. AI-powered defenses must get better faster. We are glad to be working with @OpenAI and other leading innovators to make sure it does.

Not every security decision is a behavioral one. Our new Control Center adds precise rules and custom AI models on top of Abnormal's behavioral AI. No detection engineering required.

Today's most sophisticated attacks look like normal business, and defending email now takes more than inbound detection alone.
New from Abnormal: Control Center, Email DLP Rules, and AI Phishing Coach enhancements. Details here: abnormal.ai/blog/email-sec….
Insider threats can begin before Day One. North Korean remote-worker schemes show why security teams must extend identity detection into the hiring process, says @Abnormal's Mick Leach in this op-ed. #cybersecurity#CISO#infosecbit.ly/4qyG0p4
i interviewed our team at @Abnormal about building products at the frontier of AI and cybersecurity.
i love this team and how much fun we have while tackling problems no one has solved before.
“it is fractally interesting, the more you zoom in, the more interesting it gets.”
Threat intel from @Abnormal on a phishing kit called iAuthFlow v2 that can enroll attacker-controlled passkeys on compromised accounts, providing persistent access after passwords are changed.

This week, @Abnormal announced a partnership with @OpenAI to accelerate secure enterprise AI adoption and strengthen cyber defense.
At Abnormal, we train and deploy Behavioral AI to stop highly sophisticated cybersecurity attacks that conventional tools miss, and OpenAI builds the frontier models that help defenders investigate those threats faster. As generative AI gives attackers new speed and sophistication, defenders need both kinds of innovation working together to keep up.
We're also joining the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program as an early security partner, and we're exploring how OpenAI's frontier models and Codex Security can complement our Behavioral AI, including new capabilities to help security teams monitor AI agent activity and catch anomalous behavior.
Abnormal is expanding our own use of OpenAI internally, across our business operations and software development.
We're early on all of this, and there's a lot more coming: abnormal.ai/blog/abnormal-…
We’re proud to announce our partnership with @OpenAI to accelerate secure enterprise AI adoption and strengthen cyber defense.
The partnership starts with a shared commitment to using AI to protect and empower people. Abnormal’s mission is to stop cybercrime with AI. OpenAI’s mission is to ensure that AGI benefits all of humanity.
Abnormal is joining the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program as an early security partner; as part of that, we’ll explore how OpenAI’s frontier models and Codex Security can complement Abnormal’s Behavioral AI, including capabilities that help security teams monitor agent activity and identify anomalous behavior.
Abnormal will also expand the use of OpenAI internally across its business and product development.
This announcement is just the beginning of what’s to come. Learn more in our blog from CEO and Founder @evanreiser: abnormal.ai/blog/abnormal-…
