Spot on. No one should be given the official or diplomatic passports except the official and diplomatic functionaries. It will be in order to withdraw all other Blue Passports. Restore the sanctity of Gratis Passports.

The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, along with the entire provincial cabinet, parliamentary leadership, members of National Assembly and members of the Punjab assembly was heading toward Adiala Jail to stand in solidarity with their leader, Imran Khan. For the past seven months, Imran Khan has been unlawfully subjected to solitary confinement in prison, isolated from his family, denied basic rights, and deliberately cut off from the people of Pakistan. For the last eight months, he has also been denied proper medical treatment despite repeated concerns regarding his health. These actions are not only inhumane, but a blatant violation of constitutional, legal, and fundamental human rights. After exhausting every democratic and legal avenue, we are left with no choice but to exercise our constitutional right to peaceful assembly in order to raise our voice against this illegitimate, stolen-mandate government and its continued political victimization of Pakistan’s most popular leader. Our gathering point was nearly one kilometer away from Adiala Jail. Yet despite this peaceful and lawful intention, the police moved to block Imran Khan’s family, the elected representatives of the people, the entire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet, and the sitting Chief Minister immediately after they exited the motorway en route to Adiala through Rawalpindi. The blocking of an elected Chief Minister and his cabinet is not just an attack on one political party, it is an attack on democracy itself, an insult to the mandate of millions of Pakistanis.

Few journalists command the respect @Matiullahjan919 does. His voice on human rights and press freedom has been consistent and courageous. Shutting down his program, starting a smear campaign against him and initiating inquiry for inviting foreign journalists to press club and speaking for rights of journalists, Iman and Hadi is inappropriate. His demand for an independent inquiry committee based on senior journalists is fair. This committee shud also look into the campaign against Matiullah Jan.

Our family has appealed to all party office holders, senior leadership, MNAs, MPAs, and Senators to come to Adiala Jail this Tuesday to build pressure on the government to: 1. Allow immediate access for Imran Khan’s lawyers and family. 2. Transfer Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital for proper medical examination and treatment, in the presence of specialists, his personal doctor, and family. 3. Ensure Chief Justice Dogar takes up the bail applications of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi so they can be released from this illegal imprisonment without delay. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi are being held in solitary confinement, one of the harshest forms of treatment in violation of Pakistani law and international human rights standards.

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan is in solitary confinement since October 16, 2025. He has spoken to his sons only twice in 2025 and once in February 2026 after Supreme Court orders. He has been denied books to read. He has received only 3 of the dozen books that we managed to get to adiala through a judge. Then, a perfectly health and fit Imran Khan suddenly develops a clot in his eye. He was not provided medical assistance. For two weeks, he repeatedly told the jail superintendent that he CANNOT SEE. The Adiala Jail superintendent Ghafoor Anjum DELAYED calling in a specialist for three months. By the time the eye doctor came, the delay caused permanent damage to Imran Khan’s eye. We are extremely worried that his other eye could also develop a clot. Imran khan has repeatedly sent messages over past few months that he is not satisfied with the treatment and there is only marginal improvement after the first injection in the eye. No improvement since then. Over the past month, Bushra Bibi, his wife has also developed an eye condition and was operated upon last week. Imran khan and his wife are being tortured through solitary confinement. We have repeatedly protested, demanding Imran Khan to be examined and treated at Shifa International Islamabad. There is an urgent need to identify the cause of the blood clot. Our worry is that his other eye could also develop a clot unless proper diagnosis is done and it’s treated accordingly This is inhumane and a violation of all fundemental and human rights of a prisoner under Pakistan and International laws.

My sons Sulaiman & @kasim_khan_1999 applied for visas in January (again… ) to allow them to visit their father @ImranKhanPTI in Pakistan. The Pakistan consulate states that online visa processing normally takes 7–10 working days. It has now been 60 days. This despite the public promise that they could safely travel there to see their father after 4 years, made by both Defence Minister @khawajaMAsif to @mehdirhasan & PM spokesperson @mosharrafzaidi to @SkyYaldaHakim Meanwhile, they are not allowed to speak to him on the phone, nor send him a letter. They haven’t seen him since 2022 after he was shot in an assassination attempt. This is an appeal directly to Pakisan’s PM @CMShehbaz to please allow Imran Khan’s two sons to see their father asap, particularly since, by all accounts, his health is in decline.

When the law requires that family be informed before any medical procedure is conducted on a prisoner, why was the family not informed? We do not trust the diagnosis or test reports from Government medical facilities. There are already reports coming from PIMS that the doctors are being threatened with serious consequences if any information is leaked about Imran Khan. What are they Hiding? Our family rejects their reports even if they issue these doctored reports to the public. We stand by our demand that Imran Khan be examined and treated in Shifa International (Islamabad) by specialists, under the supervision of Imran Khan’s personal doctors and in the presence of his family. PIMS (Govt Hospital) is not equipped to treat anyone for the alleged condition that has developed in Imran Khan’s eye.
