This is my sweet daughter, Francesca, one month before she died of brain cancer.She never got the chance to build the life and legacy she deserved, so we are building one in her name. Over the past six years, Team Beans has raised $3.7 million for infant brain tumor research. This year, we’ve raised $77,000 toward our $100,000 goal for Dana-Farber, and we are just $23,000 away. I cannot overstate how important this funding is to Francesca’s doctors and researchers. 43 adults and 17 children have been killed in Haiti. In one strike, a woman lost her 3-year-old daughter and husband. The mother found her daughter with holes in her body. She did not have enough money to bury them. Political violence is wrong—full stop. Left-wing violence is rising, but the data still shows right-wing violence is still more prevalent. When Tom Homan comes out and says that he’s concerned we’re going to have to bury an ICE agent, it feels totally disconnected from reality for most. Americans Alex Pretti and Renee Good are dead.
