A lot of great minds are getting punched in the face by AI right now. The uncomfortable truth is that much of what looked like “genius” was never some magical gift. It was the ability (and often the privilege) to spend enormous amounts of time doing computation. Some people had more time, computed more, won more, and looked smarter. Others had kids, families, health problems, responsibilities. They didn’t lose because they were less intelligent. They simply had less time to play the game. Now AI is entering that game with effectively unlimited stamina. It computes faster, longer, and increasingly better than any human. And it is improving at a speed no human can match.
I had an early access to GPT-6 Astra and I can say, everyone in the world now has a 3D designer at their fingertips. I gave it an image of a house and asked to create it in 3D with all the details including toys, appliances and furniture. This a full 3D model reconstruction in Blender with geometry that you can manually tweak and run 60fps as a locally rendered "game" on device.
