Today is the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Bina Das (24th Aug 1911).
Her father, Beni Madhab Das, was one of the mentors of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Bina Das was a member of Chhatri Sangha, an organisation for women in Kolkata.
She attempted to assassinate the Bengal Governor Stanley Jackson, in the Convocation Hall of the University of Calcutta. She fired five shots but none hit him.
Her confession statement started with
"My object was to die, and if to die, to die nobly fighting against this despotic system of Government, which has kept my country in perpetual subjection to its infinite shame and endless suffering..."
For her part in freedom struggle, she was jailed for 7 years at the age of 21 and again for 3 years in 1942.
It's very sad that when she died,Her dead body was recovered from the roadside on 26 December 1986 in a partially decomposed state.
Sad that after independence, she was largely ignored.
Good analysis in @businessline on how India’s space story is moving beyond ISRO and rocket launches.
India is building a thriving private space ecosystem spanning launch vehicles, satellites, propulsion, Earth observation, communications, ground stations, space-domain awareness +data/applications built on top of them.
The emerging ecosystem already spans firms such as Skyroot, Agnikul, Dhruva Space, Bellatrix, Pixxel, GalaxEye, PierSight, SatSure and Digantara, each operating at different points in this value chain.
The global commercial satellite industry generated about $303 billion in 2025 broadly distributed as
-54.5% (Ground equipment)
-34.7% (Satellite services)
-6.7% (Satellite manufacturing)
-4.1% ( Launch services)
Considering launching rockets is only a tiny slice of the commercial space economy, India’s real ambition should therefore be to build not just a launch industry, but a full-stack commercial space economy
On behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh, I thank Hon'ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji and Hon’ble Union Minister @nitin_gadkari Ji for approving the 1,107 km Kharagpur–Amaravati Corridor!
With 457 km passing through AP, this landmark project will connect our state directly to Eastern India, reduce logistics costs for our farmers & industry, accelerate Amaravati’s rise as a premier economic hub, and create new opportunities for industry, agriculture, trade & employment.

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) isn’t magic.
It’s a well-designed pipeline — and Azure gives you all the building blocks.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝘀 𝗥𝗔𝗚 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝟰 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 👇
🔹 Indexing
• Parse documents (PDFs, docs, etc.)
• Chunk text for better recall
• Generate embeddings using Azure embedding models
• Store them in a vector database
🔹 Retrieval (R)
• User query → encoded into embeddings
• Semantic search over the vector store
• Fetch the most relevant chunks
🔹 Augmentation (A)
• Combine retrieved chunks
• Build context-aware prompts
• Ground the query with trusted data
🔹 Generation (G)
• Send prompt + context to the LLM
• Generate accurate, hallucination-reduced responses
💡 Key takeaway:
RAG is not about “asking the LLM harder questions”
it’s about feeding the LLM the right context at the right time.
If you’re building enterprise-grade GenAI on Azure, mastering this flow is non-negotiable.

One of the suggestions I have for our Honourable Chief Minister Joseph Vijay is to consider Singapore like laws on drug dealing and high level corruption.
Singapore awards the death penalty for drug dealing and for high level corruption. They do enforce these laws.
In the Indian context, at the Ministerial level and at the all India services level (IAS, IPS etc) we must:
1. Drastically raise the pay.
2. Any future corruption should attract the death penalty.
Raising the pay is equally important and we should declare an amnesty for past sins so we do not endlessly debate the past.
The courts should enfoce it, after proper review and due process but due process can not mean 30 year delay. Sigapore courts are very efficient and we can learn from them.
I have been an ardent fan of Lee Kuan Yew my entire adult life and I have read every one of his speeches! We must study his approach.

Many organizations move to Azure…
But only a few build it the right way from Day 1.
An Azure Landing Zone provides a pre-configured, enterprise-ready cloud foundation aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
When combined with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), it transforms cloud setup from manual & error-prone → to automated, consistent & scalable.
🔹 What it covers:
✅ Identity & Access Management (Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC)
✅ Networking (Hub-Spoke, VNets, ExpressRoute)
✅ Governance & Policies
✅ Security Baselines
✅ Monitoring & Management
✅ Structured Management Groups
🔹 Why IaC matters?
Without IaC → Manual setup, slow provisioning, difficult scaling
With IaC → Automated deployment, Git-based versioning, CI/CD integration, repeatable environments
🔹 Real-world impact:
✔ Faster onboarding
✔ Strong governance
✔ Secure Dev/Test/Prod environments
✔ Cost optimization
✔ Enterprise-grade standardization
💡 Tools commonly used: Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM templates.
Cloud success isn’t just about migration — it’s about building a well-architected, secure, and scalable foundation.
Are you implementing Landing Zones with IaC in your organization?

🚀 Microsoft Fabric — Explained Simply
Most companies don’t have a data problem.
They have a “too many tools” problem.
That’s where Microsoft Fabric changes the game 👇
👉 Imagine having: • Data pipelines
* Storage
* Analytics
* Dashboards
* AI
All in one single platform
That’s exactly what Microsoft Fabric delivers.
💡 What makes it powerful?
✅ One unified data lake (OneLake)
✅ Built-in ETL + Data Engineering
✅ Real-time + batch analytics
✅ AI integrated with Copilot
✅ Seamless with Azure + Microsoft 365
No silos. No tool switching. No complexity.
⚡ Before vs After
❌ Multiple tools (Data Factory + Synapse + Power BI)
❌ Data duplication
❌ Complex architecture
✅ One platform
✅ Faster insights
✅ Lower cost
✅ Easier collaboration
🧠 Think of it like this:
Microsoft Fabric = Operating System for Data
Just like Windows manages apps,
Fabric manages your entire data ecosystem.
📊 Use cases:
* Business dashboards & reporting
* AI/ML model building
* Real-time analytics (IoT, logs)
* Data warehousing & lakehouse
🔥 If you're working with data in 2026,
this is not optional — it's foundational.
Would you replace your current stack with Fabric?

Most teams rush to build AI agents before asking the most important question:
❓ Should you even build one?
Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework has a decision tree that cuts through the noise. Here's what it actually says:
🔷 Step 1 — Business Plan Check
If your task is structured or predictable → skip agents entirely. Use GitHub, Microsoft Fabric, or ML models instead.
If it's static knowledge retrieval → build a RAG app, not an agent.
🔷 Step 2 — SaaS Before Custom
Before writing a single line of custom agent code, ask: does M365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Azure Copilot, or Dynamics 365 already solve this?
If yes → use it. If no → now you can build.
🔷 Step 3 — Architecture Decision
Single agent or multi-agent?
Only go multi-agent if you're crossing security/compliance boundaries, involving multiple teams, or planning for serious scale.
Otherwise? Test a single agent first. If it passes → ship it. If it fails → then escalate to multi-agent.
The framework's core philosophy:
👉 Don't build what already exists.
👉 Don't over-engineer what can stay simple.
👉 Let the use case — not the hype — drive the architecture.
This is the kind of structured thinking that separates mature AI adoption from "we just used agents because everyone else is."
💬 Where does your team usually get stuck in this decision process?

AI gateways are becoming a critical control layer.
As enterprises connect more models, users, applications, and agents, direct access to AI services quickly becomes difficult to secure, scale, and govern.
Azure API Management can provide that control through 10 practical gateway patterns:
→ 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁: expose multiple AI services behind one consistent interface.
→ 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: secure access with Entra ID, OAuth 2.0, and scoped policies.
→ 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗤𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘀: control usage and protect services from overload.
→ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: detect harmful inputs, PII, and jailbreak attempts.
→ 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁/𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: reshape traffic for model and client requirements.
→ 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: choose models dynamically by cost, latency, region, or capability.
→ 𝗖𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: reuse frequent responses to lower latency and cost.
→ 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: monitor usage, errors, latency, and token consumption.
→ 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 & 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: route to backup models when primary services fail.
→ 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶-𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: enforce dedicated policies and quotas per tenant.
The gateway is not just a routing layer. It becomes the policy, security, observability, and resilience layer around enterprise AI.
Which of these patterns is most important in your AI architecture today?
