A report published in the National Library of Medicine, US says that ‘malignant transformation within the saree line is extremely rare and its pathogenesis is uncertain.’. Since 1945, there have been just ELEVEN reported cases of this kind as per the report published in the NLJ. This in a country of over 1 billion people! Even in these cases, as per the report, ‘the median duration of saree/dhoti use before cSCC development was 50 years’ and the garment was worn EVERY day for 10 plus hours. So why would @timesofindia publish this rubbish article?
