I agree 100%, and the war itself is aimless from any ideological perspective, but let's not forget the core of the inflation (aside from gas prices which are sensitive to temporary circumstances) was set into motion by the Trump/Biden covid policies. the stagflation has been with us from day one of this presidency and was going strong before the Iran war. I don't say this to defend the feckless strategy with Iran but to draw attention to the feckless economic policies of the GOP, as well as the impetus for the inflation to begin with. The electoral numbers have been cooked all year, and we saw this with every special election. The economy was horrible and remains horrible because of the economic policies. Obviously, the dragging out of this war without any strategy is exacerbating certain elements, but the core inflation has nothing to do with foreign policy.
