Bitcoin spot ETFs closed the 1st week of January strong! On January 3rd, 2025, BlackRock bought $253M, and all $BTC spot ETFs combined bought $908M. Big money is back to buying after the Christmas/year-end sell-off. Not a bad way to start the year. 🚀

If we get a retest of the horizontal channel lows or previous descending channel, I'll look for topping up spot altcoin positions.

The #Altcoins market broke out of the descending channel but has not yet confirmed a bullish market structure shift on the daily chart. A higher high (HH) above $375B is needed for confirmation and bullish continuation. In the case of another liquidation candle, a bullish

$SEI is trading back in the ascending channel, setting higher lows on the daily chart. I still expect this one to perform well and break ATH with the next liquidity wave for the Altcoins market. On the downside, the channel trendline is now invalidation.

The #Altcoins market broke out of the descending channel but has not yet confirmed a bullish market structure shift on the daily chart. A higher high (HH) above $375B is needed for confirmation and bullish continuation. In the case of another liquidation candle, a bullish retest of the descending channel becomes likely. A failure to hold the lows of the horizontal channel would signal market weakness - I'm not expecting that to happen, just mentioning for transparency. My base case right now is bullish continuation.

Does the crypto industry have a problem? AI, DePIN, DeFi, RWA, Memecoins, GameFi, PolitiFi, Agents, Oracles, ISO tokens, ETH betas, BRC-20, RUNES... No wonder the average investor is confused about crypto. Will the growing variety of tokens become an industry problem?

Just like clockwork. The holidays are over, and the #Altcoins market is breaking out of the descending channel (BULLISH). The next significant level to reclaim and break is $375B to print a higher high (HH), confirming a bullish market structure shift on the daily.

Imo, X Money will be THE catalyst for the crypto industry in 2025. Elon is fully onboard and has been casually soft-shilling crypto all year. Expecting X to launch something crypto related in 2025 is not a far stretch.

Imo the Tether FUD is nonsense. Exchanges have been taking steps to delist USDT from the European market since the summer. On some platforms, USDT is already unavailable to EU citizens, while others are gradually implementing the changes and aim to complete them by the end of the year. I don’t anticipate a significant sell-off on December 31st due to these Tether delistings. However, market makers may use the opportunity to flush leverage positions. A good buying opportunity if we get it, imo.

$BTC is holding up strong at ~$95k, but $89k-$91k seems to work as a magnet. If Bitcoin reaches that level and Altcoins take another dive, it's a great opportunity to load up, imo. With time and chart confluence aligning, it’s rarely a bad time to buy in those conditions.

🧵 When Will Liquidity Return to the #Altcoins Market? The holiday season in the US and Europe is keeping people less active on social media and in the markets. Many sold part of their positions to go stress-free into the holidays or for tax purposes. Adding to this, the FED's updated stance on fewer rate cuts in 2025 caused an unexpected change of events, leading to a short-term dump in both stocks and crypto. What's the current state? -> Stocks recovered quickly. -> Bitcoin remains resilient, consolidating at the highs. -> Altcoins? Hit hard, again. Many keep asking me: Is there hope for Altcoins in 2025, or is the market doomed? So, here’s my perspective: Following my analysis, what we're seeing in the market is still part of a normal corrective wave after rejection from the HTF supply zone (2021 ATH). While local lows may already be for most Altcoins after December's (20th) second liquidation wick, the Altcoins market remains trading in a down-trending channel, rejected from the upper trendline yet again (see quoted post). What does this mean? -> Short-Term (I guess until after the holidays; 1st week of January): Bearish until we see a breakout above the trendline, supported by volume. Re-visiting the lows remains on the table. Some weak Alts may even undercut their lows. -> High Time Frame (HTF): My thesis remains unchanged. A confluence of key charts (BTC.D, UST.D, BTC, OTHERS, ETH/BTC, OTHERS/BTC) still indicates a higher probability of a bullish wave for Altcoins in Q1 2025, which will most likely result in a new ATH for the Altcoins market.

I shared an update on Patreon this morning, and the situation has still not improved. The #Altcoins market is trading in a down-trading channel and rejected the upper trendline yet again. This opens the door for a retest of December lows - especially if BTC catches a cold and retests the $89k-$91k level shared before. Breaking the channel's upper trendline is key for a bullish trend reversal. Retests of the channel lows provide good entries (with proper risk management). A safer entry remains waiting to reclaim the $400B level. Orderbooks remain relatively thin - probably due to the US holiday season.

Risk management is key to trading success. The correct portfolio allocation matters even more than finding "the big winners." If you don't follow and implement the rules of risk management, you'll lose money in the long run. Don't skip this step.
