i'm implementing an rpc system for the 873th time in my life
doesn't matter how many times it happens it's always incredible to witness do some cultures just not have the concept of a joke what is it like for them to be on the internet is it just constant pain and torture every single day
no one guessed it. not a single person. everybody was wrong. 100% of people.
someone went in and wrote a community note and gathered up links as evidence that is so crazy to me. incredible
you go try to do business with them and they start scaring you about how there's going to be a huge capacity crunch and you need to sign huge commitments or be screwed what's actually happening is their suppliers are probably getting ready to compete with them so are choking off capacity
in latest version of opencode2 we include TPS indicator we can finally calculate it accurately! it's surprisingly tricky
token prices could be a lot lower today but these inference companies are getting in the way of them they don't own anything, they rent GPUs and serve tokens and slap a 40%+ margin on top they have business today because they started early. i don't think they will last
remember this is just ONE tool call. the agent composed this script ahead of time and it will call one tool, loop over results to call more tools, etc
still tweaking how we calculate it but for this data: we take users who had a week where 80% of their requests were to a single model then we check if that remained true the next week and the result is the % of times that was true in the past 10 weeks
we're going to publish this on our data page but looking at retention per model is very interesting what better benchmark is there than if users keep coming back to the model or not?
our anti fraud system gets access to honeycomb, stripe, and database to correlates things and find very obvious fraud the models are incredible at doing this via codemode. the whole script didn't even fit in the screenshot composing these tools together to get what it needs
everyone seems to calculate tokens per second window differently A. time from request start to response end B. time from first token coming back to end of response i think it should be A (so it ecompasses TTFT), wdyt?
no one guessed it. not a single person. everybody was wrong. 100% of people.
GLM-5.3-Flash (formerly Ox Alpha) is now available on OpenCode Go with double usage for a limited time
i complained a lot about the mcp spec in the past but it's getting very good now
guys marketing rule #1 do not copy what other people do yeah i'm talking to you. i know you can see this it's embarrassing man
in the next version of opencode2 you can connect multiple accounts for the same provider and switch between them if you use this against me i will be mad
use it today opencode.ai/v2/docs
codemode is so good man it just did a giant analysis to answer a question i had in one go this is pretty much a non-negotiable thing at this point
