My take: Musk's empire is running on accounting alchemy, not automotive output, just like its owner is a bullshit factory that turns other people's inventions into smoking craters. A car company reporting that most of its profit came from a rocket company's stock price is a liquidity trick for a founder who needs Tesla's board distracted while he consolidates ownership across his empire. The regulatory credits the world's greatest welfare queen claims not to need are still propping up the one segment supposed to prove Tesla makes cars, not narratives.
