I think it helps explain the institutional culture that made it possible for an NHS ambulance trust to produce policies that effectively ignore women as a sex class. This isn’t about an individual. It’s about an organisation that saw no contradiction in using International Women’s Day to celebrate a male staff member - under the banner of Women in Paramedicine. And once institutions stop distinguishing between sex and gender identity, policies that undermine women’s sex-based rights inevitably follow. That’s the real story. Via @Woman_AHF

Roberto Donini. Italian man. Battling cancer. Just trying to enjoy a quiet day at the park with his partner. Tarek Amida Giuma, an African migrant, walks up. She recognizes him immediately.
