I grew up knowing the loss of parents in a way a child should never have to understand. So, somewhere along the way, I made a promise to myself….when life finally placed a child in my arms, I would not take the privilege lightly. I would be intentional about the person I chose to build a home with, and intentional about the kind of father I would become. I would fight, as much as a man can, against the demands of work and life stealing from my child the moments I once wished I had with my own parents, even if it means retiring from the combat life I’ve always known. I did not know then what life would look like when that day came. And somehow, in its strange and beautiful wisdom, the universe gave me a woman better than anything I had imagined for myself. Now, I look at my wife and our daughter and wonder how a life that began with trajectory-changing losses could arrive at so much abundance. I have been entrusted with a little human being who knows nothing about the world yet, but has somehow become my entire world. She has made a father out of me. And in becoming her father, I have invented a softer version of the man I had to become to survive, more patient than the man I thought I was, and infinitely more afraid of losing something than I have ever been. I do not know what tomorrow holds. For now, I ask only for time. Long life. Good health. Enough years to watch my wife grow old beside me, enough years to watch my daughter become whoever she is destined to be, and enough years to give her the presence I once longed for. I have been given another chance to become the man I once needed. A loving wife. A beautiful daughter. The privilege of being called Dad. The boy who waited by doors, who learned not to need too loudly, is in the same room as the man holding the one person who will never have to wait for him. I am both of them at once! You will not know the kind of loneliness I knew. Not from me. IREMIDE♥️ //My fortune/favor has arrived// The tides have now learned my will. What once dragged me under now carries me.. What else could I possibly ask for? The future has a face I am not afraid to love. I feel claimed, and that is the closest I have ever come to home. The universe owes me nothing! I have been given more than I ever knew how to ask for.

Marriage used to be the starting point. Two people would come together with almost nothing to their name, but each other, and then they would build everything side by side. This process of building led to bonding, it built loyalty, it required tremendous sacrifice and most of all it taught interdependence. But now we are told the opposite. We are told instead that we need to have it all before we marry. We need a good career, a home, a bunch of money in the bank, your entire identity discovered and solidified, a passport filled with stamps, a degree and much dating experience. The problem with this is that by the time two people finally decide to join one another, well they have spent most of their lives learning how to do life alone. So it is not wonder then that building a life with someone else, suddenly feels so much harder. Marriage used to be a beginning, not it is an after thought to an already built life. Two already self-sufficient and self-reliant people do not easily merge and mesh. It is hard to go from the perspective of “mine”, to “ours”, when individualism is all we have ever known. And this is why individualism has become the death of marriage.

I have failed many times but I didnt worry myself because i was not in competition with anybody or in a rush. Always learn how to try again , each failure comes with a lesson and that is how you gain experience .

Experience is the armour. Money is the artillery. Knowledge is the infantry. Connection is the intelligence. 🦅

The problem isn't that we are not headed in the right direction, the problem is that we didn't even find the right direction yet. Forget all these lamentations and suffering, things are only getting worse in spite of it.

The stories of our people that went to Libya for greener pasture is funny and saddening. Absolutely heartbreaking,heartless journey and slavery.

Every times our smartphones slows down or any electronic appliances brakes right after the warranty expires,for some even before,we are experiencing a corporate crime wave engineered a century ago,its called planned obsolescence.
