Together with Sergii Koretskyi, we determined how the approaches to the personnel policy of the Government of Ukraine will be updated and what changes need to take place across the ministries. The immediate priorities are to honestly evaluate what has been accomplished under the resilience plans for regions and communities and to maximize the pace of implementation by the beginning of August. The Prime Minister of Ukraine briefed me on the response to the aftermath of Russian strikes and on the tasks currently facing Odesa, Dnipro, and Kharkiv regions. Importantly, work with partners is ongoing to ensure Ukraine's financial resilience, implement our defense agreements with partners, and accelerate the production, procurement, and delivery of the weapons needed most urgently. I am grateful to Sergii for keeping our partners fully informed. The Prime Minister and his team are preparing the Government of Ukraine's program. The document is to be presented in the near future. 🔥 Apparently Lady Bavovna also visited an oil depot in Armavir, Krasnodar Krai. So much black smoke in southern Russia tonight… I don’t know what the Russian equivalent of the Sistine Chapel is, but they need to go there and elect a new Putin if they want the black smoke to stop.

Extremely interesting NEW development in the warfare, though I wish it stayed off the internet. Ukrainian unit lifts strike drones by balloon behind russian lines - mostly into Crimea - released fully charged from 10,000m altitude, for free hunt there. Very cool!

🇺🇦 Fedorov: I congratulate Major General Drapaty on his appointment as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine! This is new air and new hope in the struggle of free people for freedom and justice. The voice of change that could not be ignored. Now the high expectations of Ukrainians must be justified by a clear vision of the end of the War of Independence, a strong command and decisive actions aimed at preserving the lives of our soldiers, robotizing the front, carrying out asymmetric strikes and exhausting the Russian economy. I called General Oleksandr Syrsky and thanked him for the defense of the Kyiv region, the Kharkiv operation and other historic battles. This is already an important part of the history of Ukraine. But we need to move even faster and write new chapters, correcting all previous mistakes. Thank you to everyone involved!

The Kremlin’s propagandists woke up to a real problem this morning, and it isn’t Drapatyi. Their entire model rests on one axiom: all governments are the same. Everyone lies, everyone steals, protest changes nothing — so stay home and endure. Then Ukrainians spent six days in the streets, and their government listened, argued, and obeyed. That footage is now moving through every Russian-language channel, and no censor can fully stop it. Not weapons. Not sanctions. Just the spectacle of a neighboring Slavic nation replacing its top general because citizens demanded better. Putin is 73. His system has no mechanism for succession, correction, or even honest bad news. The most subversive thing Ukraine exports to Russia isn’t drones. It’s proof.

Great to welcome Matthew Whitaker @MattWhitaker46, U.S. Ambassador to NATO, back in Kyiv – this time together with Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard, Commander of NATO Security Assistance & Training for Ukraine. We had a good talk – first and foremost on how to protect Ukrainian skies with more Patriot interceptor supplies through PURL. This is a critical priority now, as massive Russian attacks continue unabated. We also discussed the U.S.-Ukraine bilateral defense partnership: building on President Trump's decision in Ankara to license Ukraine to produce Patriots, and the Drone Deal, which our teams are now working through. This has real potential, and we hope to get it finalized soon. I also presented Curtis Buzzard the Order "For Merit," III class. Thank you for standing by our side through all these years of aggression. Ukraine is grateful to President Trump, the U.S. Congress, and the American people for their support.

I met with Serhii Volynskyi, a Hero of Ukraine and a Marine Corps veteran. We discussed the changes and decisions needed for a productive, realistic veterans policy. It was important to hear his assessment of the situation in Ukraine's Defense Forces. I am grateful for his advice and for his willingness to continue being part of our country's team. 🇷🇺 Typical ‘apolitical’ Russian: I woke up one morning — the very morning my business went up in flames — and suddenly realized that we’re living through difficult times.😱

Well, the ability to unite in a dark hour, take matters into our own hands, go out into the streets, and speak out against those in power has more than once saved our people when they stood on the brink of destruction. Today, the fact that Ukraine remains a democracy despite everything has finally placed its best and most decent battlefield general, Mykhailo Drapatyi, at the head of its armed forces in this terrible war—a man supported almost unanimously by both the people and the army. This is a great victory, one of the very many hard-won steps toward the light amid the darkness that have already been taken, with many more still ahead. Today, the entire free world has something to celebrate.

I have already had so many lies debunked just by visiting Ukraine. I can’t wait to release all of my videos so people can see what I have seen. Most of what I believed about Ukraine before visiting is either distorted or a half truth. I am glad I’m here for a while to keep investigating the truth on my fact finding trip. It really makes you realize just how much Russian propaganda there is in American media. Maybe it’s time for our members of Congress to have a hearing on Russian propaganda and how it’s being used to stir social chaos in the US.

There can be no lasting peace if it comes at the price of Ukraine's surrender. The choice is clear: either we defend international law and the sovereignty of nations, or we accept that the strongest can impose their will by force Italy has chosen to stand on the side of freedom, and we will continue to stand with Ukraine. Just experienced my first air raid in Ukraine. Sirens blaring. This is everyday for every Ukrainian. I feel like such an asshole for minimizing the struggle of Ukrainians for the last 5 years. I often said I don’t care. Looking back, that wasn’t very nice of me to say. There are people in Ukraine who have to run to a bomb shelter everyday and some of us had the audacity to say Russia wasn’t wrong because we believed the lie that Ukraine is a country full of Nazi sympathizers. We have been so propagandized by Russia and we don’t even realize it. Air sirens could very well be the future of America if we don’t start demanding our lawmakers crack down on communism and multipolarity. We won’t have Trump forever and the axis of evil is moving fast.

Zelenskyy’s full address tonight announcing the appointment of new Commander in Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi. He says the General Staff will also be reconfigured. Zelenskyy also offered former defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov a new position, but did not say whether he’d accepted. As first reported @FT, Fedorov turned down an offer to head up a defense tech czar role at the National Security and Defense Council, saying he’d only take back MoD. More changes coming tomorrow and throughout the week.

I had my first call with the UK's new Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband. I congratulated him on his appointment and thanked the United Kingdom for its steadfast support for Ukraine since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion, including military, energy, humanitarian, economic, and sanctions assistance. I briefed my colleague on the latest developments on the battlefield and thanked him for his solidarity following Russia's latest massive attack on Kyiv. We discussed further strengthening our cooperation, continued military assistance, support for Ukraine's energy sector ahead of winter, increasing pressure on Russia. I invited Foreign Secretary Miliband to visit Ukraine. I wished him and his team every success in their important work and look forward to working closely together to further strengthen the vital Ukraine–UK partnership.
