Een goed draadje over de fossiele lobby om geld voor kernenergie in plaats van voor duurzame oplossingen die vandaag nodig zijn. Wat aanvulling: En het is zo simpel op te lossen. In 2050 moet er 95% CO2 uitstoot beperking zijn gerealiseerd. We gebruiken in heel Nederlqnd 120 TWh , 120 miljard kWh elektrische energie. Die wordt nu voor 70% fossiel opgewekt. Dat levert bij een uitstoot van 0,426 kg CO2 per kWh een totale CO2 uitstoot op van 35.784.000.000. kg op. Dit is 35,8 miljoen ton. Het KNMI heeft uitgerekend dat bij 200% wind en zon, alleen op land, we maar 4 dagen per jaar extra opwekking nodig hebben. Hoewel we naar 300 tot 500% zon en wind gaan rekenen we even met 4 dagen fossiele opwekking. We vergeten ook dat er straks meerdere GW’s aan accu’s staan. 4 dagen fossiele opwekking is 1,1% van de huidige opwekking. Dit betekent dat van de 35,8 miljoen ton CO2 35,4 miljoen ton gereduceerd wordt. Er blijft dus slechts 35,8 - 35,4 is 0,4 miljoen ton CO2 uitstoot over. Die 0,4 miljoen ton kan nog met 90% afnemen als de CO2 via CCS wordt afgevangen. Er rest dan nog slechts 0,04 miljoen ton CO2 uitstoot over. Kosten 2 kerncentrales 25 miljard euro, de huidige gascentrales kunnen gewoon in reserve blijven staan. In het uiterste geval bouw je ze om naar waterstof of methanol. Dit alles kost een fractie van kernenergie. Het is echt een raadsel waarom de hele politiek zo graag kerncentrales wil. Op het moment dat de 2 geplande (totaal 3,5 GW), en als het aan de VVD ligt zelf 4 kerncentrales, op het net komen, zal 95% van het jaar 3,5 GW aan duurzame energie uitgezet moeten worden. Concreet zal de huidige 3,5 GW aan windenergie op de Noordzee verschroot kunnen worden. De investering van 6,1 miljard in die 440 windturbines van 8 GW is direct afgeschreven.
