As I’m heading to work this morning I see Tina (lady who makes my pizzas @ Pie Five) walking down Keller parkway. I pull over and ask if I can give her a ride. She smiles like always and gets in the car…. mind you Pie Five is about 2 miles away from where I picked her up… so we got talking as we drove. She expressed to me she started that job 7 months ago and walks 4 miles every day for work. I said to her… Wow, I know that’s hard on your body; that’s got to be exhausting. She giggled and said “Yah, but what can you do Greg? I need the job… life doesn’t stop. So I make it work. I used to have a bike, but it broke and don’t have another one”. I dropped her off and said I’ll see you soon! I called Bianca Ballog immediately… pretty choked up about it… told her the story and she said “Greg, we are getting that lady a bike!” I told her…we are on the same page. 2 hours later she now has transportation. Her face when she saw the bike was more than words could express. She said… I am so thankful and don’t know what to say. I told her… we may be getting this for you, but you have given more to me today than you know. I can not express enough… GET TO KNOW PEOPLE! Ask questions, ask about their struggles, ask what you can pray for. God has called us to serve and love your neighbor as you love yourself. If people truly truly truly truly understood that and did that a lot of the crap that is going on in this world wouldn’t be going on. There are people in need and they are in your own back yard. A mother dog was thrown from an old bridge inside a plastic storage bin with the lid zip-tied shut. As the container slowly sank into the icy river, a nearby kayaker noticed it bobbing strangely and rushed over. When he cut the lid open, he found an incredible sight. 🚨NEW: A 55-year-old man died after twice calling 999, only to be told by call handlers an ambulance would not be sent for him and was instead told to wait for a callback. Brian Hurton had an aortic dissection, when a tear opens up in the body's main artery, and told call handlers that he was losing his breath. An hour and 12 minutes after his first call a clinician called him back, but it was too late. An ambulance was not dispatched until 3 hours and 30 minutes after his first call to 999.

This is the John Wick of dogs. His name is Casper and he is only 21 months old. Last weekend, on his farm, he faced 11 coyotes that came after the herd he was guarding. Most dogs would have run away, but not Casper. He fought with all his strength and managed to take down 8 coyotes, and 3 of them ran away. After the fight, he did not stop. He went missing for two days because he was still tracking the rest of them to finish the job. When his owner finally found him, Casper was badly hurt. The vet said he was lucky to be alive. His body was covered in cuts and bites, but his spirit was unbroken. Casper had given everything to protect the animals he was raised to guard. His owner, proud but also worried, decided it was time for him to retire from herding. Casper had already done more than anyone could expect from a dog. People who heard his story started calling him the John Wick of dogs, because like the movie hero, he never backed down and kept fighting no matter the odds. Casper’s story is not just about bravery. It is about loyalty, sacrifice, and a heart that refused to give up. And now he will spend his days resting, because a hero like him has already earned his peace.
