What has unfolded in Minneapolis this past month betrays our most basic values as Americans. We are not a nation that guns down our citizens in the street. We are not a nation that allows our citizens to be brutalized for exercising their constitutional rights. We are not a nation that tramples the 4th Amendment and tolerates our neighbors being terrorized. The people of Minnesota have stood strong — helping community members in unimaginable circumstances, speaking out against injustice when they see it, and holding our government accountable to the people. Minnesotans have reminded us all what it is to be American, and they have suffered enough at the hands of this Administration. Violence and terror have no place in the United States of America, especially when it’s our own government targeting American citizens. No single person can destroy what America stands for and believes in, not even a President, if we — all of America — stand up and speak out. We know who we are. It's time to show the world. More importantly, it's time to show ourselves. Now, justice requires full, fair, and transparent investigations into the deaths of the two Americans who lost their lives in the city they called home. Jill and I are sending strength to the families and communities who love Alex Pretti and Renee Good as we all mourn their senseless deaths.

People snatched off the streets. Violent raids. No due process. Kids being left at schools because parents have disappeared. This is Trump’s America.

The New York Times now reports millions of Americans are attending No Kings anti-Trump protests across the country. Events in all 50 states. Officials in Los Angeles are calling the crowds “unprecedented.” This is likely one of the largest mass protests in U.S. history.

Donald Trump is NOT our king — and on June 14th, it's up to us to prove it.

Social psychiatrist Steve Moffic writes in Psychiatric Times about the suppression of mental health experts through the bogus use of the "Goldwater rule"of the American Psychiatric Association. He refers to the new book, edited by forensic psychiatrist Bandy X. Lee, The Most Dangerous Case of Donald Trump. In general, the media has failed citizens by censoring them from expressing their expert opinion on mental health issues, especially when it comes to people in power. For example, if you are in the military involved with nuclear submarines, you need a thorough yearly examination to see if you are fit to serve. Yet, NOTHING for the person who has the nuclear button to end the world. I am included in this volume.

Today, a brilliant operation was carried out — on enemy territory, targeting only military objectives, specifically the equipment used to strike Ukraine. Russia suffered significant losses — entirely justified and deserved.

Together in Kyiv at the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing — five of us in person, joined online by leaders from over 30 countries, the EU, and NATO — we discussed what is urgently needed to achieve peace. The key outcome: a united and clear position on the following points.

In an era that looked as if it might be defined by an American man of depraved cruelty, corruption, and shame, what a magnificent thing the Catholic Church has done. The elevation of an American man of goodness, grace, humility, mercy, and faith to the Throne of St. Peter is moving and momentous for us all.
