So based on the available information so far, Dipke went to Boston University on an F-1 visa but didn't complete his degree. Since he didn't graduate, he had no job offers, and with his visa set to expire, he was facing deportation. As luck would have it, the CJI used the 'cockroach' remark, Dipke, who had plenty of free time from watching Swades on repeat, capitalized on the opportunity. He created a satirical page that blew up. He then cleverly timed his departure to spin his visa-related return as a grand homecoming, akin to Gandhi returning from South Africa. How fake news is created. 87 lakh was spent in FY 24-25 only, but Sardesai makes it sound as if that's all PMCARES fund has spent ever since creation of the fund 6 years ago. During Covid and thereafter, thousands of crores were spent from the fund (not just 87 lakhs) because it was needed to spend that much during those crisis times. They can't keep spending as much when situation improves. 87 lakh was spent in FY 24-25, which was election year btw. Imagine if huge amount would have been spent, then he would have found it INTERESTING that even though India was not facing any natural crisis, why did PMCARES spend thousand crores in an election year? He'd have insinuated money going to election expenses. Furthermore, nature of such funds is that they build corpus so that they can spend when some emergency situation arises. It's not an NGO that must spend at least x% of its donations every FY. It's literally a fund to be used in, god forbid, bad times.

St Thomas brought him, the Tamils Indianised him, and the rest follows from there. - Devasena stands for Jewish Christians. - Valli stands for Gentiles waiting to be converted. - His twelve hands are the twelve apostles. - The kavadi is a forgotten reenactment of Christ carrying the cross John Samuel, then director of the Institute of Asian Studies, convened the first international conference on Skanda-Murugan in Chennai in 1998. He told scholars there that most researchers, himself included, believe Murugan was elevated from a historical person. In 2005, he went further and wrote that the Somaskanda icon, which shows Siva, Uma and the child Skanda together, is nothing but the revelation of the 'Christian Trinity'. And for all of this to work, one thing has to be true first. Murugan has to have started as a Tamil folk god or a dead chieftain, separate from Skanda, who was bolted on later by northerners. That is what Karttikeya means in Sanskrit. The seal reading is arguable. The Tamil epithet is not — it runs through Tamil literature for centuries. At Kalibangan, diggers found seven brick fireplaces on a ceremonial platform. Six in a row, one apart. That is exactly how Vedic ritual arranges the fires of seven priests. Is the Centre positively biased towards Gujarat? In my view, yes. Can the Centre redirect all investments only to Gujarat? As I said, in areas like semiconductor fabrication which requires very huge incentives from the government, nudging the two large industrial groups of the country which are of Gujarat origin to invest more in the state, and deciding where to conduct important sports events: these are all very much under the Centre’s influence. You need to understand that investors would invest only in a state which they see as the best fit. No amount of nudging from the Centre may change their mind. Tamil Nadu did not have a very cordial relationship with the Centre during the last 5 years. Still, how come Tamil Nadu got the most out of the Electronics PLI, most of the high end or advanced manufacturing, deep tech, space technology, the semiconductor ecosystem except fabrication, and high end defence -the list is long. States can compete and win in most of the areas where their competitiveness, and not what the Centre nudges, matters.

Coming to Semicons, I hope they read the kind of sops Gujarat, Odisha and Assam gave to Semicon companies. All states fought for Semicons but few won. Doesn't mean TN was discriminated against.
