BREAKING: Toronto Police just fined our billboard truck driver outside WNBA game for displaying a pro-women message Toronto police have just hit our billboard truck with two fines totalling $1,230 for playing a video defending women’s sports. Our driver Mark was parked right outside the WNBA game in downtown Toronto. The truck’s massive screens were running a public service announcement featuring Serena Williams and Martina Navratilova explaining a simple biological fact: no matter how talented a female athlete is, men are stronger. Police swarmed the truck, ordered Mark to turn the video off, and claimed it was illegal for him to play that ad. They issued a $615 ticket on the spot. Not for any traffic offence, but purely for the content. When Mark put one of the officers on the phone with me, the cop repeated the same absurd claim: that it’s illegal to show a video on a truck. That’s not the law. That’s censorship. And it’s a clear vendetta against Rebel News driven by an extremist pro-transgender ideology that prioritises men over women and girls in sport. Minutes later police issued a second $615 fine, bringing the total to $1,230, and threatened more tickets if the video stayed on. This follows an earlier incident just weeks ago when police stopped the same truck and investigated it for “hate speech” over a similar message. We are covering every cent of these fines. Two incomes in most households just to keep the lights on, the mortgage or rent paid, and food on the table. We are not on the receiving end of the programs you keep announcing. We are the ones paying for them. Our expectations are simple: • Get a real trade deal with the United States that protects Canadian jobs in auto, steel, aluminum, manufacturing, farming, and the supply chains that keep this country running. • Stop treating the working middle as an afterthought while you chase green announcements, international prestige, and long-term ideological goals. • Recognize that over-regulation, high taxes, energy costs, and years of weak investment have already left too many businesses hanging by a thread. More tariffs on top of that will break them. • Put the interests of the people who generate the tax revenue ahead of the desire to look tough or to protect every sacred cow in the system. What we are feeling is not mild disappointment. It is utter frustration. You inherited and then deepened an industrial investment collapse. You watched capital leave the country. You kept expanding the public sector while the private sector that pays for it struggled. You talk about growth and then deliver technical recession and record-low machinery investment. And now, with a hard deadline hours away, the working public is left hoping you finally put aside your preferred agenda long enough to secure a deal that keeps plants open and people employed. We do not need another announcement. We do not need more lectures about the long game. We need a government that understands the people who work for a living are not a talking point — they are the foundation. Act like it. The clock is running. So is our patience.

“These people are desperate to share their stories with you.” At a recent press conference on Parliament Hill, Allison Inquiry Counsel Shawn Buckley spoke about what he has learned while interviewing Canadians who have applied to testify at the upcoming Allison Inquiry. More than 1,000 Canadians have applied to tell their stories. Many are living with profound disabilities, financial hardship, and ongoing medical challenges—yet they are finding ways to get to Ottawa, even when the Inquiry cannot provide funding for their travel. Shawn shared the extraordinary lengths some witnesses are going to just to be heard: one wheelchair-bound witness has helped arrange a wheelchair-accessible bus from Ontario and even offered space to another injured Canadian who needs specialized transportation. Another witness must coordinate their testimony around dialysis treatments. But perhaps most striking is what Shawn says he hears when he asks witnesses what has been the most difficult part of their experience. For many, the answer isn't the disability, chronic pain, financial hardship, or family turmoil. It is dealing with the medical system and feeling that they have not been heard. The Allison Inquiry was created to provide an opportunity for these Canadians to tell their stories and begin a conversation that has too often been avoided. The Allison Inquiry takes place September 8–11, 2026, on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. We invite Canadians to watch, listen, and hear these stories for themselves.
