Anguish and surprise at how Smt. Brinda is being treated   Some men from Meitei terrorist groups storm the house of the fearless ex-police officer Smt Brinda and force her to retract her private conversation with a person over the phone regarding the persons who have started the present melee of the communal violence. What she says is the truth of the story, but unfortunately, she was forced to make a forceful apology by the lawless, heartless, merciless, and truthless people.   Her condition, as seen in the viral video, was simply pathetic and outrageous, as she was made to say what she hated to say. The actions of some Meiteis toward a person who speaks the truth are highly condemnable. They can say or speak all kinds of lies and fabricated stories, but they did not permit a brave and truthful person like Brinda to voice even a single word of truth. This is simply beyond the imagination of any civilized person under the sun.   As a great admirer and fan of this brave lady, I felt sorry for her condition, but a single individual like me can do not much except voice my concern for her, like I used to support any person who stands for truth and justice.   A fearless lady like her is rare these days (Brinda gumba misak ashi atangba ni). A person like her is worth more than a lakh mobs of lawless people. It is really a sad thing to treat a brave, lover of truth and justice, and fearless person like her.   We usually praise and applaud brave people who stood for truth and justice in our empty mouths but we actually applaud them in real-life situations. What shameless people we are!   A few days ago, the house of Babloo Loitongbam, another truthful and outspoken human rights activist, was attacked and some household property wandalized.   Our attitude as liars,love of falsehood, fraughtness, and evil desires will give us a real bad name, and the result of our wickedness will surely visit us sooner or later.   The injustice we did to thousands of people and our senseless actions toward the two people mentioned above will not go without nemesis.   As we could see the brave lady Brinda standing before some heartless group of people who came with evil intentions, every right-thinking person would feel sorry for the helpless lady. She was forced to say what she wished not to say, which was really shocking to witness.   Some groups of Meiteis are so heartless toward truthful and justice-loving people who have contributed a lot to the Meitei society. It is truly a senseless action on the part of the Arambai Tengol and Meitei Leepun to forcefully push down truth and justice. Their love for violence and barbaric actions toward anybody who chose a different view from theirs is simply a sad story.   May the Lord be with Brinda and Babloo so that they continue to move on the path of truth and justice and not cow down easily, as God is behind those good people. Still no justice in 5 MONTHS ! Bodies still have not been returned to their families in 5 MONTHS and possibly just rotting in the RIMS Hospital morgue for 5 MONTHS ! I want my people safe, they are not safe as Biren betrayed us- Vungzagin Valte, BJP MLA from Thanlon A/C, Manipur told @SwatiJaiHind MANIPUR GOVERNMENT GOES INTO DAMAGE-CONTROL MODE AFTER ITS NEGLIGENCE IS EXPOSED A few days after national media broke the story of a senior BJP MLA in Manipur from the Zo community, Vungzagin Valte, who was brutally assaulted by Meitei mobs on 4th May, Manipur Information & Public Relations (IPR) Minister, Sapam Ranjan, held a press briefing yesterday claiming that the Zo MLA was taken good care of by the state government since day one and that all medical expenses will be borne by the government. Pu Valte was attacked in Imphal by a Meitei mob after he came out of a meeting with the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh. Reportedly, Pu Valte and his driver were blindfolded, taken to a nearby building, and tortured by the Meitei mob who also gave them rounds of electric shocks. His driver succumbed to his injuries but Pu Valte miraculously survived. He is now ridden with brain injuries and paralysis on parts of this body, and plastic surgery had to be done to his face. Now released from the hospital, the Minister is mostly bedridden, can barely speak, and needs help to do the most basic tasks. Pu Valte’s family told reporters that they had to find rented accommodation in Delhi on their own and pay for the heavy medical bills out of their own pockets. Neither the Chief Minister nor any of the Meitei MLAs have commented on the plight of Vungzagin, not to speak of condemning the barbaric attacks on him. The Manipur government scrambled to make a pretense to be concerned of Pu Valte’s condition only after its negligence came to light on national media. Athouba, Spokesperson of COCOMI, instead of asking questions gave wrong information on the following facts: 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠 𝟭: Meiteis are not majority in Manipur. 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: If it is so, how is it that there are 40 Meitei MLAs in a 60-Member Manipur Legislative Assembly. According to 2011 census ST and SC Population in Manipur is 35.1% and 3.8 % respectively. Take note that most Meiteis are included in SC and OBC as well. Even if we include SC, the Meitei population percentage in Manipur in 2011 is still 61.1. And only a small percentage of them follows Christianity. 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠 𝟮: Meiteis never targeted Christians. 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: Meiteis started attacking Churches in the valley to gain support from extremist Hindu groups. Video evidence of the Arambai Tenggol militias vandalising a Meitei Church in Bishnupur District; putting up of Meitei traditional flag atop Churches after vandalising in Imphal is available. 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠 𝟯: 45% of Christians in Manipur are Meitei. 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: It is a hallucination. Where did Mr. Athouba get this data? According to the daily newspaper "The Hindu' more than 83% of the Meitei people are associated with Hinduism, followed by the Meitei Pangals or Manipuri Muslims (8.4%) and Christians (above 1%). The rest adhere to Sanamahi, an indigenous faith first mentioned in the Cheitharol Kumbaba, the royal chronicle of Kangleipak the old name of Manipur from 33-154 CE. 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠 𝟰: Lamka (Churachandpur) is the new 'hub' of Golden Triangle 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: Successful narco-groups are always managed and handled by big organisations. Calling Lamka as a new hub is a misnomer because all the Kingpins and drug lords are Imphal based who have close ties with the state government. A former MPS officer have unearthed the deep nexus between Meitei Chief Minister N Biren Singh and drug lords operating in Manipur. 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠 𝟱: 19 Churches belonging to the Meiteis were vandalised in Lamka. 𝗙𝗔𝗖𝗧: Churches were never targeted in Lamka or other Hills Districts during the current violence or before. No Christians would ever imagine targeting their own Church. In fact, Meitei Christians are safer with the Kukis than with the Meiteis. ✅ Kh. Athouba and COCOMI(Melon) is a prime example of what Mehdi Hasan in his Oxford Union Debate said "..a farrago of distortions, misrepresentations, misinterpretations and misquotations". Sensing this, the moderator Wissam al-Saliby asked him to submit the facts after the seminar and continue the discussion after the event. To which Athouba disregard the decorum of the event and disrespectfully heckled the panellists and the moderator making it very uncomfortable for the audience and viewers alike. ✅ The participants were too aware that Mr Athouba attempted to play the victim card. Even if the Meiteis have succeeded in selling their concocted narratives to some bigwigs in the political sphere out of political consideration' the world already knows that it was them who perpetuated the violence. Independent international bodies such as the UN are more than aware of the ground realities. ✅ It is bad enough that the Meiteis hunted, butchered, and chased us away from Manipur, they would not even let us share our stories and grievances peacefully to the United Nations Human Rights Council.
