China’s message is basically: If you can compete, compete. Stop whining. The West spent decades enjoying globalization while hollowing out its own manufacturing base and calling it efficiency. Now that Chinese products are more competitive, suddenly we hear: “China shock.” “China squeeze.” “Overcapacity.” “Unfair competition.” Translation: We were allowed to deindustrialize ourselves. China is not allowed to industrialize successfully. And the hypocrisy goes far beyond China. China does not only export finished goods. It exports machinery, components, power equipment, solar panels, batteries, industrial systems and the tools that allow poorer countries to build factories in the first place. For much of the Global South, industrialization is not an academic debate. It begins with one brutally practical question: Can we afford the machines? Chinese manufacturing lowered that threshold. So when Western governments demand that China “make room” by weakening its own industries, they are not merely trying to protect Western companies. They are also trying to make industrialization more expensive for countries that are still trying to escape poverty. If Europe and America want stronger industries, build them. Compete. Invest. Innovate. You do not get to ask the world to stop moving forward just to protect Western corporate giant babies that spent decades growing fat on cheap labor, cheap resources, and the underdevelopment of poorer countries. The world does not owe your complacency a subsidy. And development is not something the West gets to ration.

HR asked me to install employee monitoring software across every company laptop last month. They wanted screenshots every five minutes, browser history, application usage, idle time, and an automated “productivity score” for every employee. I told them this seemed invasive. They told me the executive team had already approved it. So I installed exactly what they requested. Three weeks later, the VP of HR asked me to prepare a report showing the 20 least productive employees in the company. I exported the data. Seven of the bottom ten worked in HR. One HR business partner had spent 19 hours on Zillow during business hours. Another averaged 46 minutes of keyboard activity per day. Someone had watched four complete seasons of Love Is Blind. The VP asked whether I could exclude HR because their work was “less quantifiable.” I said the software didn't have a setting for that. She asked if I could manually adjust the scores. I reminded her that manipulating employee surveillance data might create a compliance issue. She went very quiet. At 3:17 PM, HR announced that after “careful consideration,” the monitoring software did not align with our culture of trust. They asked me to uninstall it immediately. I completed the removal ticket in 11 minutes. My productivity score for the day was 14%.

All of the Dr’s & Professors I follow pretty much agree that we’re looking at 4° by 2100 ish. I’m not so sure, I think it’s going to be worse based on the rate of increase. However let’s say 4°. That’s an existential societal & natural world collapse scenario, that’s the truth!
