When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!” The Death of Jesus as told in Matthew 27:46-54 Today is Good Friday, the day we commemorate Jesus' sacrifice for us before celebrating His resurrection and victory over death on Easter Sunday. ✝️ The penalty for sin is death and separation from God. Jesus, the only truly innocent person, took our punishment by allowing Himself to be killed in our place on the cross. Everywhere we work, we bring the cross with us to remind us that truly Jesus was the Son of God, and He loved us so much that He died for us. We are called to love others in the same way. 💜 If you feel you have been forsaken by God, find comfort knowing that on the cross Jesus endured that same feeling so that you can approach God and have a personal relationship with Him. On Vietnam Veterans Day, we recognize the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who answered the call to serve our nation during a challenging and often divisive time in our history. Many returned home without the recognition they so deeply deserved — and today, we make sure their service is never forgotten. To all Vietnam veterans: thank you for your service, your strength, and your sacrifice. Welcome home. 🇺🇸
