Live in the town of North Providence or plan on visiting for the firework display? “This is the Town of North Providence with an important message to our residents and businesses. Friday, July 3rd, the town's 3rd of July Celebration event will start at 3 PM at Governor Notte Park. The fireworks will take place between approximately 8:30 PM to 9:15 PM. During this showtime, the northbound lane of Douglas Ave will be closed at Mineral Spring and the Southbound lane will be closed at Twin River Rd. No public vehicles are permitted to park along Douglas ave. The only exception is within the Breakdown lanes located directly on the bridge. There are also temporary NO PARKING signs along the eastbound side of Westcott Lane and Tanglewood Drive that will be strictly enforced. It will be very hot and humid throughout the day, continuing into the nighttime hours during the fireworks display. Please be sure to keep yourselves, your children, and your pets hydrated. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant for signs of heat exhaustion.”

Folks, as everyone can agree, it’s hot 🥵 outside. With that being said, please use common sense and don’t leave pets, children or anyone for that matter inside a vehicle without air conditioning. The temps inside can be MUCH hotter than the outside temps. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

As some may remember, a few weeks ago I said I had a family medical emergency and was going to take some time away. I'm happy to report that with the help of some absolutely AMAZING people at @CharterCareRI (Our Lady of Fatima), some progress is being made. While it's small steps, they're headed in the right direction. I'm not ready to "jump in the pool" just yet however, I'll start monitoring the radios shortly and will begin to post about incidents in the near future. Thank you for your understanding and allowing me the time to spend with my family to help them get to as close to 100% as possible. (Depending on time and day, a delay or no response is possible) It's nothing personal!
