বাংলাদেশের বিশেষ একটি গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার তৎপরতায় গত কয়েকদিনে অন্তত দু'জন ভারতীয় গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার গুপ্তচরকে দেশের উত্তর ও উত্তর পশ্চিমাঞ্চল হতে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়েছে। এম.বি ও এস.বি.এস নামের এই দুই গুপ্তচর দীর্ঘদিন যাবৎ বাংলাদেশে সক্রিয় রয়েছেন, এবং নিয়মিত বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন সংবেদনশীল তথ্য ও রাজনৈতিক দলের অভ্যন্তরীণ বিষয়ে খুঁটিনাটি সংগ্রহ করে নিয়মিতভাবে সেসব ভারতীয় গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার রিসার্চ এন্ড এনালাইসিস উইং (R&AW) এর কাছে লাইভ ড্রপ করতেন। নজরদারিতে পরিষ্কার প্রমাণ পাওয়া যায় যে, দেশের নির্দিষ্ট কয়েকটি পয়েন্ট দিয়ে ভারতে প্রবেশ করে সীমান্তবর্তী এলাকায় অপেক্ষারত বিএসএফের গাড়িতে করে তাদের মালদা শহরের স্টেশন হেডকোয়ার্টারে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয় এবং সেখানে র'এর অন্তত তিনজন কর্মকর্তাকে তারা ডি-ব্রিফ করেন। নজরদারির আরেক পর্যায়ে এই গুপ্তচরদের জলপাইগুড়ির বিন্নাগুরি সেনানিবাসে (ভারতীয় সেনাবাহিনীর ২০ মাউন্টেন পদাতিক ডিভিশনের সদরদপ্তর) প্রবেশ করতে দেখা যায়। গ্রেপ্তারের সময় তাদের কাছ থেকে উদ্ধার করা বেশ কয়েকটি মোবাইল ফোন, পেন ও হার্ড ড্রাইভ এবং ল‍্যপটপ প্রাথমিকভাবে পরীক্ষা করে দেশের অভ্যন্তরে বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এলাকার ম্যাপিং, স্পর্শকাতর স্থাপনা সংক্রান্ত তথ্য, সাংবাদিক ও বিভিন্ন মাঠ পর্যায়ের সরকারী-বেসরকারী কর্মকর্তা এবং রাজনীতিবিদদের উপর নজরদারি একই সাথে নিষিদ্ধ গোষ্ঠী সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিদের সাথে যোগাযোগ, বিতর্কিত কার্যকলাপে অর্থায়ন ও তাদের উস্কানীমূলক কর্মকাণ্ডে উদ্ধুদ্ধ করার সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণও পাওয়া গেছে এদের বিরুদ্ধে। এসময় ভারতের মিলিটারি ইন্টেলিজেন্সের কিছু নথি এবং ভারতে তাদের সাথে নিয়মিত যোগাযোগ রয়েছে এমন ব্যক্তিদের তথ‍্যাদি পাওয়া গেছে। দেশের প্রচলিত আইনে বিচারের আওতায় এনে এদের দৃষ্টান্তমূলক শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করতে ইতোমধ্যেই এই দুই ব্যক্তিকে যথাযথ নিরাপত্তা সংস্থার কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে।

A huge chunk enters through West Bengal. Kolkata’s tourism, garments & healthcare industries run on Bangladeshi money. India has no monopoly — Bangladesh can source everything elsewhere. The buyer holds the power, not the seller. Yet Shubhendu still doesn’t get basic business common sense. Modi at least speaks carefully now. India depends far more on Bangladesh than the other way around.
