@jbrukh @optimism @fuellabs_ While we and other rollups can scale eth1 to hundreds or thousands of tps, there is a finite limit of thoroughput eth1 can support for data availability. So an idea is to use rollups with a blockchain optimized for data availability, see @lazyledger_io arxiv.org/abs/1905.09274

Future think -> users enter sidechain with base token, do all their stuff cuz gas is cheap, and exit to mainnet for "cold storage". Potentially most exits will be in eth eth pool to charge fees and split them
@FigoFinozeros @nigeon @antiprosynth It is very possible in the future that users enter trustless sidechains like ISN via $eth, do all the stuff (trading, gaming, compute) on the sidechain because gas is very cheap, and then exit to mainnet for "cold storage" OR can become defi on-ramps thanks to its security! 2/2
@FigoFinozeros @nigeon @antiprosynth While it is true that there is a withdrawal confirmation period mentioned in the article (varies by implementation), we think it sets up a crypto-native business model of liquidity providers that will provide fast exits for a small fee. 1/2
