When Team Warren Wins, US Innovation Loses. Early indications are. Senate Majority Leader John Thune’s decision to push the CLARITY Act vote back to September is, in substance, a fold, and it marks a clear win for Elizabeth Warren and the status quo. The progressive left anti innovation team wins again. By allowing yet another delay at the very moment when the US should be locking in a coherent framework for digital assets, the Senate has signalled that preserving incumbent comfort still matters more than securing American leadership in the next monetary architecture. Regulation should have been passed years ago. Instead, Washington chose to live in ambiguity, letting Warren and the bank lobby weaponise uncertainty, the SEC and the Fed went along for the ride, and now Thune is keeping the CLARITY Act stuck in procedural limbo. With Thune’s postponement, it now looks like Team Warren and the status quo have prevailed: the bill drifts, enforcement fills the vacuum where law should be, and the result is that the US will not take a leadership role in crypto. Innovation moves offshore, another own goal by politicians, as the world moves ahead under clearer regimes while America leaves its own innovation stack trapped in a grey zone where the standards of future finance are written elsewhere. In this fight, the Democrats have chosen to be anti‑innovation, defending yesterday’s institutions at the expense of tomorrow’s growth. The level of incompetence required to reach this point, an innovation superpower choosing delay and spite over strategy, is historic. Another own goal.

When Comey was fired, the optimal window to open the investigation was created for Andrew McCabe. Rosenstein agreed to the plan and "Oxferd C0mma" was triggered on 5/16/17. The objective of the EC was spurious in text because the real goal was to open a Special Counsel investigation. Oxferd C0mma was the placeholder for Mueller. The group talked about the plan before Comey was fired. Comey's termination simply triggered the timing.
