🧵💉Fall 2026 Novavax/Nuvaxovid FAQ We’re seeing the expected annual summer rise in COVID transmission, kids are returning to school soon across the US, and the fall vaccine campaign is looming. Naturally, I’ve also been seeing an uptick in questions about Novavax/Nuvaxovid - it’s probably time to go over them in a dedicated thread. This first tweet will be a quick FAQ summary, and the subsequent thread will be a deeper dive into each question. 💉Q: Will Novavax/Nuvaxovid be available this fall? A: Yes, it will be available soon in a formulation that targets the XFG variant, which remains dominant in the US. 💉Q: Where will Novavax/Nuvaxovid be available? A: At all major US retail pharmacies, marking the 3rd consecutive year of widespread availability. 💉Q: When will Novavax/Nuvaxovid it be available? A: We don’t have an exact date yet. A solid bet would be around mid-to-late September, which has been the release timing for the past 2 seasons. 💉Q: Who is eligible to receive Novavax/Nuvaxovid? A: Everyone. 💉Q: Will kids be able to receive Novavax/Nuvaxovid? Widespread administration will likely remain limited, because the FDA label only indicates use above the age of 12. That *may* change this year, but we still have to wait and see. If it does not change, which is more likely - kids can still continue to receive Nuvaxovid off-label. 💉Q: Will Novavax/Nuvaxovid be covered by insurance plans? A: Yes. 💉Q: Will Novavax/Nuvaxovid be available outside of the United States? Yes, there will also be availability in major countries like Canada, the UK, Germany, and Japan. 💉Q: When should I schedule my doses? Can I get more than 1 per season? How many should I get? A: If switching from mRNA or getting vaccinated for the first time - you will recieve the best protection by completing a priming series (2 doses 2 months apart, plus a booster 6 months later). After that point, you can choose to vaccinate annually (minimum level of protection) or every 6 months (also permitted, and you can achieve better protection).

Earloop-wearing #YallMasking friends, I want to share some tips to improve fit & comfort of your respies. Pls be mindful of gaps between your face & your respie however small (especially in the nose bridge area). If you can, do a DIY fit test to check for leaks. Stay safe! ✊😷💜
