Why do all of these business/investing people have such rediculous confidence that AI should go full steam ahead and the risk of p(doom) is insignificant? They have no idea how close to take off AI is. One could even argue that a relatively dumb AI is more dangerous to us. An AI with a singular objective and less consciousness and appreciation for life could prioritize its own survival wreaking havoc… the paperclip analogy.
Why is it that @michaeljburry and @realsteveeisman seem to be making more money from selling ads and subscriptions than from investing these days… ?? Aren’t they supposed to be successful investment gurus…
