@MichaelSLinden Your argument is only true for payroll tax with the income limits. Otherwise, their effective tax rate on income is always going to be higher. Nowhere is the upper income folk's effective tax rates less, it's only when you factor in that cap on SS for that one piece.

@RGranger83313 @ewarren The avg person will receive 30%-80% more in benefits than they paid in. There's a reason the program is in critical insolvency and the national debt is what it is. If the average person received what they paid in and it was 1:1 then we'd be just fine. Individual cases may vary.
